Europe formed the EU because they saw that without a superstate they would always be pawns in the larger world stage. But the divisions of culture, race, language , even among white Europeans runs deep.
The mideasterners are causing tensions that will fracture it from within, and the leaders are trying desperately to believe that cultural tradition and ancient bonds and emnities aren't actually a real thing.

Dude, I wish the UK was the fifty first state. I think you got some pretty decent groups who would assimilate well while maintaining a unique culture. Plus, Scotsmen in the US army would be useful

2018-10-11 02:35:05 UTC

UK has no freedom of speech.

2018-10-11 02:35:39 UTC

2018-10-11 02:35:48 UTC

World's lifeguards in the background.

2018-10-11 02:35:55 UTC

Cheering on a tussle.

2018-10-11 02:35:59 UTC

Look the EU used to be a trading block

2018-10-11 02:36:16 UTC

idk if any if you remember, but you can look it up

2018-10-11 02:36:17 UTC

i like how the USA was formed as a loose coalition of independent countries that slowly turned those countries into what are effectively provinces

2018-10-11 02:36:23 UTC

yeah, thats what our referendum was for to join. as a trading block

2018-10-11 02:36:28 UTC

at the time they decided to implement the euro

2018-10-11 02:36:38 UTC

and then the EU was formed as a loose coalition of independent countries that is slowly turning those countries into what are effectively provinces

2018-10-11 02:36:40 UTC

:^)

2018-10-11 02:36:48 UTC

Lmao, it took us a while even to consolidate a currency

2018-10-11 02:36:58 UTC

Maggie thatcher was the best on a unified currency: We support it as long as its the Pound

2018-10-11 02:37:07 UTC

you had economists from both sides of the isle telling them that the proposition they had was a terrible idea

2018-10-11 02:37:29 UTC

and it would lead to all kinds of problems in the long term

2018-10-11 02:37:36 UTC

I can't believe we have such robotic people who shit on Sargon for energizing UKIP.

2018-10-11 02:37:38 UTC

problems we have already seen happening anyways

2018-10-11 02:37:48 UTC

Maybe because shackling yourself economically isn’t the best idea.

2018-10-11 02:37:57 UTC

public opinion is UKIP is the new nazi party

2018-10-11 02:38:01 UTC

"Grrr how dare you try to be a highblooded politician! Don't you know they're BETTER THAN US?!"

2018-10-11 02:38:09 UTC

well it wouldnt be that big of a problem if they limited it to certain countries

2018-10-11 02:38:13 UTC

even though it really isnt

2018-10-11 02:38:19 UTC

@Tohob much more closely shared experiences at the time of the USA forming. We already had an area the size of Europe with one language.

2018-10-11 02:38:24 UTC

for a start they have free speech on their platform

2018-10-11 02:38:29 UTC

if they limited it to germany, netherlands, belgium, luxembourg, austria and a few others

2018-10-11 02:38:37 UTC

there wouldnt have been an economic problem

2018-10-11 02:38:47 UTC

since all those currencies were already tied in with the deutsche mark to begin with

2018-10-11 02:38:54 UTC

the EU started to keep France and Germany from killikng each other
