AfD wasn't even really a possibility

2017-03-26 20:31:52 UTC

I was just looking at Frauke Petry on wikipedia. i didn't know AfD didn't even have a seat in your congress

2017-03-26 20:41:44 UTC

well, I expect at least that to change this fall

See here I am

2017-03-27 20:11:57 UTC

ye

2017-03-27 23:11:32 UTC

@DocMac saw you like optical design

2017-03-27 23:11:51 UTC

Here's something I made using vector math:

2017-03-27 23:12:40 UTC
2017-03-27 23:13:09 UTC

I love to play with optimization problems.

2017-03-27 23:13:37 UTC

Oh and btw the exiting light is turned the wrong way.

2017-03-27 23:13:54 UTC

Otherwise it should be accurate.

2017-03-28 03:48:47 UTC

I see you @TexasVet

2017-03-29 00:55:58 UTC

@Someguy That's pretty cool. Can you add the reflected ray at the second surface?

2017-03-29 03:25:10 UTC

@DocMac sure I can implement it in 3d too 😃

2017-03-29 03:26:36 UTC

I should be able to make a raytracer now.

2017-03-29 14:25:53 UTC

@DocMac why would you want to do reflections inside of a material btw, to simulate contrast handling of a lens or what?

2017-03-29 14:29:23 UTC

Btw I'm gonna make a tool for lens design, that's what that test is for it will be able to generate round lenses which are concave, convex and also fresnel. Then planar too, or like imagine an extruded 2d-shape. So the lens only works in one dimension, to like stretch or squeeze the rays horisontally or vertically only.

2017-03-29 14:29:52 UTC

The possilities are endless lol

2017-03-29 19:40:42 UTC

@Someguy they're there whether you want them or not. You don't really need to trace them unless you're doing stray light analysis. You do need to keep track of the loss you get at each surface, though.

2017-03-30 14:36:28 UTC

@DocMac got it 😃

2017-03-30 14:37:04 UTC

@DocMac then there's also dispersion, I've only learned how to implement Snell's law really.

2017-03-30 14:37:38 UTC

And specular reflection.

2017-03-31 04:07:53 UTC

WHO DO THEY THINK THEY ARE?

2017-03-31 12:27:59 UTC

@Mother Henry Moore?

2017-03-31 17:18:29 UTC

Yea wow

2017-04-01 02:51:37 UTC

I have taken a break from the internet for about a week and been relaxing for a bit longer, and I'm back.

2017-04-01 02:51:52 UTC

Actually just saw a commercial that got me a tiny bit hopeful.
