ah, darn
@Jasse not really, both sides are obsessed with censorship when it's authoritarian.
uwu notices ur centrism
*nuzzles*
horse shoe intensifies.
centrists are the most anti-free speech tbh
any radical would be for free speech, since restrictions would target them first
<:bigbrain:419633628264398851>
i do wonder how a centrist could be against free speech, walk me trough it
I think it's a shitpost or something idk.
shh
i was doing the centrist thing
Lolwut
centrists want to protect the status quo, aye?
hate speech, threats of violence, calls for revolution, leaking government secrets, they all threaten the status quo, so centrists should want to restrict it
<:shrug_raka:430185885988945921>
correct me if i'm wrong
i dont think centrists want to protect the status quo at all
at least i dont
you identify as a centrist?
internet centrists tend to believe, in my experience, that no one side holds all the answers, and to expect a side of the political compas to come up with all answers is silly
they also eat bees
woke
we probably define centrism differently then
<:uwu:427681453908688907>
i honestly dont think many centrists online, believe the status quo is the answer, proportionally i think its almost nil
not 100% of the status quo, that'd be pretty much impossible
they just oppose any fundamental change ime
hmmm i think thats conservative
Depends what kind of centrists tbh
Those who uphold the status quo are definitely right wings
i'm amazed how many definitions of centrist there are, each tribe has it's own few
tru dat
tbh most centrists i know dont mind, they meme it up even
le kill half the puppies lmao
<:sweatraka:430185885997203466>
Just like there's a gajillion tribes of leftists and right wings
well ye, i mean every individual in every point of time is a tribe of one
problem with that is that its not workable
part of the difficulty comes from centrism being extremely relative imho
so from a leftists perspective, centrists look right-wing, etc
and in different countries or different eras, the centre shifts too
which is why i believe a centrist is a person who recognises that a side does not have the answer for every question. its the most workable in my opinion
