do not trust out missile defense system. against 1 ICBM, it may work as advertised. but verse a whole sale all out launch from russia or china? That is a stupid number of nukes, all of which pack several warhead or war head dummies. the chance of it missing a few in lunch a large assault it great, and missing a few means game over

The Navy has 53 commissioned destroyers and another 8 in various stages of construction and testing, with one additional ship on order.
split between all your waters and deployments
so if they are all at hawaii at the right time
then you should be good
but that requires you cede control of all other waters and the eastern seaboard
