If the accused commites the crime, they can serve their time and then return to their life.

Then the victim, if they accuse someone... they are not threaten by the mob and if they make false allegation through mistaken indentity, they will not have their lives destroyed either.

If the accuser does make false allegations with intention of hurting someone, they will face justice as well.
