So what should have been 9 hours was 12 hours daily.
@acarson ?
invert it, its 1945, end of wwii, nuclear bombs in japan, 2 of them
Oof
And then they hired someone from without.
@Gear I mean, like... at least millions of people have received raises in the last two years in the U.S. without changing companies.
@Scribblehatch when they hire. Manns gers from outside but won't promote from within
go apply for a job at the Dutch airlines, they have a policy that job vacancies will be filled in-company exclusively for a month, and unless it goes unanswered they'll hire otuside jobs
i hate the nukes in wwii because it meant a bunch of cool US prop planes never got used
Oh your mispellings are fierce man.
My dad's wage has gone up
@Scribblehatch i am on my phone
I don't know, we seem to be doing fine under trump
@Dr.Wol I wish that was a practice in more companies.
Is he a manager or such?
trump my rump
If you're a bottom rung or close to bottom rung worker you won't be getting signifigant raises and such.
We are bottom rung.
It does give a sense of loyalty back to the workers
Yeah, like people would be more willing to work harder if they could eaisly rise up socially.
Yeah. You gotta let your workers know you give a shit..
Instead of working days and hours with no raise or promotion no matter their skill level.
It's like that scene in Office Space.
The only motivation is not to be yelled at.
Because he isn't seeing more money for working harder.
Yeeeeeeeah, im gonna need you to just work normally on Mondaaaaaay....
@Gear You say all of this stuff, but it can be contradicted easily. I think you've got this idea in your head but I don't really see any substantial reasoning behind it.
Like my dad works most days and heavy hours, has a degree from college yet gets no promotions or anything. The only one he was offered was twenty cents higher and would require his commute to be super fucking long.
If workers trust that they can eaisly climb up the ladder they will work harder.
Look at the fall of the Soviet Unioun.
???
Jeez. The best way to make it these days is to find better opportunities every year for job offers
>not going into electrical so you can be your own boss and end it all at anytime if work gets too much for you
The best way, sure
Usually looking for third-party offers is a better way to justify a raise to your current employer.
Workers could work all they want and get nothing back, no better living condition or anything. Just higher work quotas.
I do cnc machining, ll I gotta do is put my shirt near that cutter and bye bye
but employers sometimes give raises for improved performance or to adjust for outside economic factors
