was only after my accident that i changed my view i used to say the same thing
as far as not wanting or needing it
now i just want back what i paid into it
fell from a roof and now have all 5 lumbar disks herniated as well as a perm. broken and disslocated ankle but according to ny state im not dissabled even though every job i have ever had was in construction and am in my late 40s
have to use a tenz unit as well as a heating pad on both the back and a tenz unit on my ankle and walking boot for the rest of my life
Crazy they wouldn’t give you disability for that.
and that is besides my breathing issues only have 60% lung usage
they only like to take your money, theyre not keen on giving it back
I think I’ve calmed down now
I prefer being able to keep my money in the first place and save it for a rainy day.
Of course not everyone has that ability.
then they need to learn or fall by the roadside
personal responsability
you're personally responsible for having paid taxes for services you've been denied?
yes and it makes me beyond mad
but i guess i could always find out what sate i would be approved in and move there to get it then move back home
when your alternative is prison it's hard to call that your fault
again personal responsability and choices made determin outcome
I mean.
They take it directly out of your pay check
Reason I hate SSI even if I am on it, I can't earn any income. If I inherit money, someone gives me money, etc, etc... if it is over 2K, I will loose my SSI.
Basically you are not able to move up the economic ladder.
Period.
I only get 790 which is barely enough to survive on.
If I get a job, I can loose SSI.
i could of played their game and claimed i was self employeed and done my taxs differntly and had a ton of reciepts for deductions to lessen my taxs
I will be thrusted into the situation where I wouldn't have a stable future.
I can't have more than 2K at any given time.
but you can get a job and work part time making just under the cut off if you so choose
Well I am on the SSI, permanent one.
and as far as how much you can have there are many ways around that
They put me on that one, not on SSA.
they do not come to your home and search for cash
If I don't report income to them, they will charge me with fraud and make me pay back all the money I gotten through SSI since I gotten it.
oh im not saying not to report income but as far as cash on hand
they can not tell you that you can not save up your cash
Basically it is extortion. You stay in the poor income bracket. If you try to get out of it, you will loose your stable foothold.
You can save up money, but you can't have more than 2K at any given time.
and with ssi and ssd you can work up to a certain amount
If I get a job, I can LOOSE my SSI.
