No.

2018-10-22 04:13:52 UTC

This must be a troll

2018-10-22 04:13:57 UTC

read at least one of her books, the term will make sense if you do

2018-10-22 04:14:08 UTC

I really don't like reading books.

2018-10-22 04:14:12 UTC

There you go

2018-10-22 04:14:16 UTC

Fun times!

2018-10-22 04:14:17 UTC

that works too

2018-10-22 04:14:31 UTC

its like individualism +1

2018-10-22 04:14:35 UTC

I had to be a troll because I didn't know "randian objectivist"?

2018-10-22 04:14:37 UTC

Also lots of Aristotle

2018-10-22 04:14:38 UTC

it's parallel to being a cartesian skeptic

2018-10-22 04:14:45 UTC

really closed minded loops of thought

Clear a path, serf

2018-10-22 04:15:18 UTC

Ayn Rand was an interesting thinker. I think her worldview was a bit off but she certainly is influential and has compelling arguments.

2018-10-22 04:15:22 UTC

People usually know that Objectivism is the Ayn Rand philosophy thing in these circles

2018-10-22 04:15:27 UTC

Whether you like it or don't

2018-10-22 04:15:30 UTC

So Jim had nothing... not surprising

2018-10-22 04:15:39 UTC

So I am surprised

2018-10-22 04:15:46 UTC

Nope. Nada.

2018-10-22 04:15:48 UTC

Is this arthropod speaking to me.

2018-10-22 04:15:51 UTC

lefties love to hate on rand

2018-10-22 04:15:53 UTC

But, feel free to read up--it'll probably come up again

2018-10-22 04:15:57 UTC

i see jim as a guy that's shadowboxing but refuses to admit that there's no opponent there to actually fight

2018-10-22 04:16:03 UTC

overtly paranoid

2018-10-22 04:16:04 UTC

The tl;dr we gave is a fair high-levle view

2018-10-22 04:16:08 UTC

her rational selfishness was the perfect argument for free markets

2018-10-22 04:16:13 UTC

Rands most known for Atlas Shrugged

2018-10-22 04:16:28 UTC

Ayn Rand tried to make a Grand Unified individualistic philosophy based on Aristotle

2018-10-22 04:16:37 UTC

it did more to explain the reduction of poverty under a system that was supposedly so selfish, capitalism, than virtually any economist was able to do

2018-10-22 04:16:42 UTC

that is quite an achievement

2018-10-22 04:16:44 UTC

How well it succeeds, well, dpeends on who you ask

2018-10-22 04:17:02 UTC

Self-described Objectivists tend to think it's at least largely, if not entirely, successful

2018-10-22 04:17:16 UTC

yeah i mean i find objectivism does have some very usefull compelling arguments

2018-10-22 04:17:51 UTC

Anyone else glad that the Democrats will not gain any power this election? I mean they have lost it and gone off their rockers. They are speaking nonsense and doing underhanded tactics...

2018-10-22 04:17:52 UTC

just doenst provide a very complete political framework for actualyl having a consistent worldview on a few subjects

2018-10-22 04:17:58 UTC

I do not trust them with any power at all.

2018-10-22 04:18:00 UTC

Non-objectivists tend to have a variety of criticisms, but most who are not on the left will generally embrace some core aspects and reject others

2018-10-22 04:18:02 UTC

If Ayn Rand had an evil sibling, it would be Karl Marx.

2018-10-22 04:18:11 UTC

it feels like jim refuses to acknowledge the impact he had on the people that followed his work and cared about his perspective by way of supporting his youtube channel
