@Rouqen ya same parents are still together in my family and we’ve always gotten along obviously not every family is like that. But most don’t start perfect but divorce not being an option helps.

My uncle is a funeral director. When he was starting his business he used to do home retrievals when someone passed away. He has always said to me "Never get cats. They're just waiting for you to die." He never told me specifics, but given his disgusted facial expression, I will never have a cat in my home.
