that's because communists are weirdly utopian fellers with no concept of how nature works

2020-03-19 15:19:23 UTC

What are you Eccles?

2020-03-19 15:19:29 UTC

the communists overthrew the state proving that you cant overthrow the state

2020-03-19 15:19:29 UTC

Libertarian?

2020-03-19 15:19:32 UTC

Thirsty, ff

2020-03-19 15:19:42 UTC

lol, libertarian. no

2020-03-19 15:20:39 UTC

i think that's because they then became the state, puggums

2020-03-19 15:20:45 UTC

The communist overthrew a monarchy then built the state mechanism but they were still under it. The state exists because the economic system thats built on the means of surplus production exists.

2020-03-19 15:21:02 UTC

2020-03-19 15:21:09 UTC

2020-03-19 15:21:17 UTC

hierarchy is inevitable because nature

2020-03-19 15:21:35 UTC

and if hierarchy is inevitable, states, or hierarchies that approximate a state will always tend to exist

2020-03-19 15:21:36 UTC

Commies overthrew a Republic

2020-03-19 15:22:22 UTC

Anarchists will always be the weakest of the bunch

2020-03-19 15:23:23 UTC

2020-03-19 15:23:33 UTC

2020-03-19 15:27:46 UTC

Yes so when the serfs started revolting and russia lost the crimean war it abolished serfdom and started to build industries to invest in new economies, but they failed to create conditions for the peasants to transition, there was famines and half a million died but the tsar instead sold the grains abroad instead of giving it to the starving population. Combined with the treatment of women and workers in factories people wanted to overcome their class roles, hence the socialist revolution. When they won in 1917, there was a civil war against Russia from foreign countries who didn't want a socialist country combined with the civil war and the world wars and the famines and the nascent industrilisation it wasn't a great start.
Stalin had a different vision for the country and it went back to regressive conservatism. There was also a decline in births in the country. There were many factors at play here but cOmMuNiSm kIlLz seem to be the argument usually put forward in this server

2020-03-19 15:27:51 UTC

I don't have a political ideology because it doesn't fit tidily into a bracket

2020-03-19 15:28:30 UTC

whats your political compass? @Eccles

2020-03-19 15:28:33 UTC

so what do you believe in? less government? more government?

2020-03-19 15:29:49 UTC

whats your excuse for maoist china

2020-03-19 15:30:11 UTC

Whats your excuse for US and UK foreign wars?

2020-03-19 15:30:14 UTC

you see how that works?

2020-03-19 15:30:25 UTC

I believe a state is required, that it should have a defined role - maintenance of borders, protection of it's citizens from outside invaders, the regulation of the free market to keep it open, free, and unskewed, as the arbiter of last resort in conflict by means of laws and a judiciary, and to provide services as dictate by concensus of it's citizens.

it's role and it's powers should be well defined. the laws it inflicts on people should be applied equally, and should be proportionate, and minimally onerous for their goal

2020-03-19 15:30:58 UTC

on political compass i typically score economically centrist, or very slightly left, and slightly to moderately libertarian

2020-03-19 15:31:21 UTC

the label "centrist" describes nothing

2020-03-19 15:31:34 UTC

you cant, on the one hand, say theres historical context for why communism didnt work out in the ussr and then blase just say "uk and us foreign wars"
