what other choice do they have

2020-03-20 17:24:23 UTC

my option was to to tie wage support to partial nationalisation

2020-03-20 17:24:31 UTC

at least the taxpayer aren't getting robbed then

2020-03-20 17:24:40 UTC

at the very least for ltd and plc

2020-03-20 17:24:58 UTC

I think the foundations are better than 2008...

2020-03-20 17:25:16 UTC

trouble is, wacka, this is affecting people's economies, not just banks

2020-03-20 17:25:19 UTC

I reckon we'll be in for a bit of inflation... and low £... even lower

2020-03-20 17:26:00 UTC

good job i'm in hock then, isn't it?

2020-03-20 17:50:13 UTC

you know whats gonna happen tho...

2020-03-20 17:51:00 UTC

every company is just gonna start telling people not to come in now... knowing they wont have any wages to pay, but the wages still get paid...

2020-03-20 17:51:26 UTC

whereas they might have kept a few in to keep some things running

2020-03-20 17:51:38 UTC

they probably still will, minimally

2020-03-20 17:52:10 UTC

time pressures mean you can't really start picking/choosing and fiddlearsing about

2020-03-20 17:52:29 UTC

they can worry about finessing it later

2020-03-20 17:57:29 UTC

Or because of it

2020-03-20 18:01:00 UTC

inb4 she stole it herself

2020-03-20 18:10:46 UTC
2020-03-20 18:14:55 UTC

Oh well

2020-03-20 18:15:08 UTC

Lifes not perfect

2020-03-20 18:15:24 UTC

I can't tell if this guy is trolling or not loll

2020-03-20 18:16:11 UTC

yeah it's difficult

2020-03-20 18:16:27 UTC

In seriousness I can see why it's unfair, but A Levels at this stage just aren't that important

2020-03-20 18:18:05 UTC

if you work consistently throughout your term then it shouldn't be much of an issue

2020-03-20 18:18:12 UTC

as you would be expected to work in a job, say

2020-03-20 18:18:45 UTC

it's not even true though - he's no nationalising anything. Nationalising would be -better- than what he's doing

2020-03-20 18:19:04 UTC

Looks like a troll to me, Cosima

2020-03-20 18:19:17 UTC

wouldn't that mean managers working directly for the gov?

2020-03-20 18:19:23 UTC

No

2020-03-20 18:19:28 UTC

Not necesarily

2020-03-20 18:19:35 UTC

Just means government being a shareholder

2020-03-20 18:19:49 UTC

that'd be part nationalisation

2020-03-20 18:19:59 UTC

but yes, more than what is actually happening for sure

2020-03-20 18:20:27 UTC

Wouldn't be hard to work out either - just take the value of the company/number of shares at the implementation date, and at the end of the measure, you increase the number of shares and give the extra to the government such the value of their holding equals the amount of financial support given

2020-03-20 18:27:13 UTC

Sounds like FaultFiction's twitter account

2020-03-20 18:28:08 UTC

How very prejudiced

2020-03-20 18:28:38 UTC

but also revealing

2020-03-20 18:28:50 UTC

Good job they closed the restaurants...a bloke was caught on video have a tommy tug over the table in our local curry house! Lol

2020-03-20 18:29:06 UTC
