look at the UK figures, manlet

2020-03-26 09:16:16 UTC

that's a rate of increase decreasing shape

2020-03-26 09:18:48 UTC

https://cv19info.live/uk/
number of cases increased ... the "number of deaths slowing down" just says that a) the really weak patients have now died off and/or b) the health service is now in the rythm of dealing with them ...

2020-03-26 09:19:15 UTC

This crisis is FAR from "being over".

2020-03-26 09:20:27 UTC

i was looking at new reported cases, prometheus

2020-03-26 09:20:35 UTC

on the site you presented

2020-03-26 09:21:07 UTC

nobody said it was over, or even close, i merely said the rate of increase of new cases was slowing

2020-03-26 09:21:29 UTC

which is what you would expect at the point where we're at

2020-03-26 09:21:43 UTC

the new cases graph should end up looking like a bell curve

2020-03-26 09:21:51 UTC

or a mutlilated form of

2020-03-26 09:26:24 UTC

No idea what you are looking at, but the increase is:
19.3. 2700 cases
22.3. 5744 cases ... +3044
25.3. 9667 cases ... +3923 = MORE
You shouldnt look at "one data point only" ... because there might be an error. If it slows down over several days you might have a point.

2020-03-26 09:30:44 UTC

Yes. You look at the trend, and you look at the daily new cases confirmed

2020-03-26 09:30:54 UTC

That trend is beginning to level off

2020-03-26 09:31:39 UTC

You did notice that the figures above are for THREE DAYS, right?

2020-03-26 09:32:00 UTC

Your figures. The trend graph has daily figures

2020-03-26 09:33:20 UTC

Morning

2020-03-26 09:35:13 UTC

You did notice that the "daily cases" graph has days with large increase and others with small increase?

2020-03-26 09:35:58 UTC

Yes. Likely reporting delay

2020-03-26 09:36:07 UTC

That's why you look at the trend, not individual days

2020-03-26 09:36:11 UTC

Morning Muzzy

2020-03-26 09:38:58 UTC

A "trend" calculated from such wildly varying data points is unreliable.

2020-03-26 09:39:26 UTC

Depends on whether you understand why the points are wildly varying

2020-03-26 09:39:55 UTC

Believe whatever you want ...

2020-03-26 09:40:05 UTC

I work alongside statiticians

2020-03-26 09:40:16 UTC

These wildly varying points do not worry me at all

2020-03-26 09:46:56 UTC

Give it another couple of days and see what the data says

2020-03-26 09:50:14 UTC

Imagine living some place where a lockdown makes such a difference in sound levels, LMAO

2020-03-26 09:51:27 UTC

I don't even notice any change, except for maybe there being fewer quiet whooshing sounds from the road.

2020-03-26 09:52:41 UTC

I've noticed far more military aircraft activity

2020-03-26 09:52:46 UTC

That's about it

2020-03-26 10:02:49 UTC

Morning @Eccles

2020-03-26 10:03:36 UTC

Friday is my last day, then my company is closing the office for at least two weeks. A bit slow to shut down, but we got there lol

2020-03-26 10:14:38 UTC

They need to open up building suppliers and construction firms

2020-03-26 10:42:07 UTC

Based tbh

2020-03-26 10:48:24 UTC

Twitter retardery sinks to new highs

2020-03-26 10:53:02 UTC

apt for this server

2020-03-26 10:57:46 UTC

so the new evil on twitter is "Dyson" apparently

2020-03-26 11:01:21 UTC
