This shit about NHS cuts pisses me off
I can post like 7 graphs that show that spending has only gone up
hard to keep up when people are just flooding in
Not allowed to talk about the population issue
Ask FaultFiction, he has some hot takes about the NHS and immigration
someone told me that this crisis proves we can fully fund the nhs and just dont
"they're really well thought out and he explains them well"
yes, because apparently a one-off spend is absolutely identical to, in all respects, spending vast quantities of money you can't afford year in year out
i said sure we can go further into debt and he said debt doesnt matter the banks will bail us out like we bail them out
money printer go brrr lol
You have two ways of funding one-offs like this
1. You borrow the money, means you have to either spend less or tax more (or both) for a very long period to pay it off, making everyone worse off for years, if not decades
2. You print the money, meaning you devalue the currency by an amount proportional the size of the money print relative to the total money supply. This results is a massive spike in inflation, a sudden devaluation of assets, and essentially a pay cut for everyone int he country
Sure, take your pick
Socialists not understanding 2 is why socialist countries suffer hyperinflation and it's citizens starving, using foreign currency, and eating pets - since they think they can do that year in, year out, to fund current account spending
tbf you can do both at once
