Aussies are just jumping at their chance to be NEETs for a month

2020-03-13 14:49:43 UTC

And after fossil fuel plants

2020-03-13 14:50:11 UTC

I would go as far as suggest nuclear powered commercial ships

2020-03-13 14:50:27 UTC

how long until we go back to flinging coronavirus ridden corpses over walls

2020-03-13 14:50:49 UTC

Cruise and Cargo ships consume UNGODLY ammounts of fuel and dump ungodly ammounts of crap into the air

2020-03-13 14:51:04 UTC

Replace that shit with a nuclear reactor

2020-03-13 14:51:16 UTC

We already have nuclear powered military ships

2020-03-13 14:51:27 UTC

Then those ships will be treated like military equipment.

2020-03-13 14:51:36 UTC

Just get a more modern reactor and shove it into cargo and cruise ships

2020-03-13 14:51:43 UTC

There's no way countries will feel okay with a ship just crossing their seas with a nuke on it.

2020-03-13 14:51:55 UTC

And youd massively reduce emissions from naval transports

2020-03-13 14:52:04 UTC

@Lidomite nuclear reactors arent nukes

2020-03-13 14:52:10 UTC

not to mention imagine if a ship sinks

2020-03-13 14:52:23 UTC

the ungodly amount of radiation you would pump into the already polluted as fuck ocean

2020-03-13 14:52:49 UTC

And what happens when the ship's nuclear reactor malfunctions?

2020-03-13 14:54:12 UTC

imagine if it hits venezuela

2020-03-13 14:54:27 UTC

it most likely has

2020-03-13 14:54:42 UTC

the health care system there is almost non existent

2020-03-13 14:55:28 UTC

Also @Kinky Kitsune (Coomer) some designs even allow for the fuel to be contained in sealed, nearly unbreakable orbs

2020-03-13 14:55:40 UTC

nearly

2020-03-13 14:55:41 UTC

>nearly

2020-03-13 14:55:53 UTC

Which helps contain the radiation and prevent spillage

2020-03-13 14:56:11 UTC

@Kinky Kitsune (Coomer) nearly indestructible is as good as reality gets my dude

bruh when you order kfc do you say zinger or zinga 😳

2020-03-13 14:56:43 UTC

Nuclear waste transport crates can survive a worst case scenario cargo train derailing/collision

2020-03-13 14:57:22 UTC

As well as almost any conceivable form of impact damage

2020-03-13 14:57:39 UTC

Like, youd need to REALLY try to break into them to get them to fail

2020-03-13 14:58:42 UTC

well boys

2020-03-13 14:58:56 UTC

time to go to the grocery store. going to wear my ICE hat to speed things up

2020-03-13 14:59:05 UTC

Nuclear power technology has reached a level of development where I believe it could be used commercialy in things like cargo ships and cruise ships, but the fear of nuclear power holds it back a lot.

2020-03-13 15:02:14 UTC

Traditional atomic weapons are nearing obsolescence anyway. The new kid on the block is neutron and gamma lasers.

2020-03-13 15:03:05 UTC

Much better for dealing with hardened targets and minimising collateral damage.

2020-03-13 15:04:37 UTC

You can also change the focus to bombard an entire city with ionising radiation, leaving infrastructure intact but killing all organics.
