I guess military conscription

2018-11-05 14:31:10 UTC

wow.

2018-11-05 14:31:12 UTC

make everyone who doesn't work a soldier

2018-11-05 14:31:23 UTC

and create a bloody battle to thin humanities least desirables out

2018-11-05 14:31:24 UTC

So, UBI, but with extra steps.

2018-11-05 14:31:52 UTC

kill the unemployment off, literally, that way you don't have to deal with UBI or labor replacement

2018-11-05 14:31:57 UTC

@Dennafen so you think UBI is a solution to automation?

2018-11-05 14:32:15 UTC

I can't think of a better one.

2018-11-05 14:32:24 UTC

Personally, i'd say we need to find a way to reach space-travel, so that we're not suck on our own planet, we can create a capitalist system in the stars

2018-11-05 14:32:33 UTC

automation is still really far from that level of autonomy.

2018-11-05 14:32:46 UTC

Mining colonies

2018-11-05 14:32:51 UTC

and if theres no job on that planet, you move on

2018-11-05 14:32:53 UTC

to another

What are you talking about BMW and Ford are both releasing level 4 automated cars for sale in 2021

2018-11-05 14:33:06 UTC

😄

2018-11-05 14:33:20 UTC

I said space capitalism! not communism!

2018-11-05 14:33:24 UTC

Communism will never work 😛

2018-11-05 14:33:28 UTC
2018-11-05 14:33:33 UTC

ohnoz

2018-11-05 14:33:58 UTC

i think its super stupid to think... that UBI will "fix" automation...
these people, they justwant robots to work for them, and then they want the owners of those robots (that do productive work), to pay for all the people that arent productive enough.

yes, there is some problem here, but... the ownersof the robots, are generally a lot smarter than the people on welfare

2018-11-05 14:34:09 UTC

But like i said 😦 I don't have a solution to the 20-30% unemployment that will hit us the moment we can fully automate labor

but i know that UBI won't work

2018-11-05 14:34:35 UTC

automation also opens a lot of job openings, for people maintaining and programming these robots and automation processes

2018-11-05 14:34:37 UTC

Either space travel, or global warfare to thin out humanity 😦

2018-11-05 14:34:38 UTC

imo

2018-11-05 14:34:48 UTC

not really.

2018-11-05 14:34:58 UTC

easy to replicate programming across robots.

2018-11-05 14:35:04 UTC

^

2018-11-05 14:35:11 UTC

and we'll be at the point where robots can do much of their own calibration.

2018-11-05 14:35:31 UTC

well, thats theoretically possible

2018-11-05 14:35:31 UTC

not to mention, the average bus-driver, or car mechanic most likely doesn't have the brains for advanced programing, or engineering or they'd be doing that as a job

2018-11-05 14:35:49 UTC

we could also replace most humans with robots.

2018-11-05 14:35:56 UTC

We're not going to turn truck drivers into programers.

2018-11-05 14:36:03 UTC

like there might be a team of a dozen engineers making tesla firmware updates, but that doesn't need to increase in size if tesla sells another 100k vehicles.

2018-11-05 14:36:37 UTC

the jobs that are going to be secure in an automated future are those that require human touch and interaction.

2018-11-05 14:36:40 UTC

and still low IQ third world is imported to our countries....

2018-11-05 14:36:51 UTC

well, there will be in total less jobs available, but there will still be new job openings

2018-11-05 14:36:53 UTC

nobody is going to want their hair cut by a robot, or have a robot massage therapist.

2018-11-05 14:37:02 UTC

Going into space isn't going to solve the problem that eventually, of majority of Humanity through no fault of their own will be unemployable.

2018-11-05 14:37:04 UTC

ehm

2018-11-05 14:37:11 UTC

actually, i would like my hair cut by a robot
