I guess military conscription
wow.
make everyone who doesn't work a soldier
and create a bloody battle to thin humanities least desirables out
So, UBI, but with extra steps.
kill the unemployment off, literally, that way you don't have to deal with UBI or labor replacement
I can't think of a better one.
Personally, i'd say we need to find a way to reach space-travel, so that we're not suck on our own planet, we can create a capitalist system in the stars
automation is still really far from that level of autonomy.
Mining colonies
and if theres no job on that planet, you move on
to another
What are you talking about BMW and Ford are both releasing level 4 automated cars for sale in 2021
😄
I said space capitalism! not communism!
Communism will never work 😛
oh no's the hate is back https://twitter.com/BBCTech/status/1059441756092223489?s=20
ohnoz
i think its super stupid to think... that UBI will "fix" automation...
these people, they justwant robots to work for them, and then they want the owners of those robots (that do productive work), to pay for all the people that arent productive enough.
yes, there is some problem here, but... the ownersof the robots, are generally a lot smarter than the people on welfare
But like i said 😦 I don't have a solution to the 20-30% unemployment that will hit us the moment we can fully automate labor
but i know that UBI won't work
automation also opens a lot of job openings, for people maintaining and programming these robots and automation processes
Either space travel, or global warfare to thin out humanity 😦
imo
not really.
easy to replicate programming across robots.
^
and we'll be at the point where robots can do much of their own calibration.
well, thats theoretically possible
not to mention, the average bus-driver, or car mechanic most likely doesn't have the brains for advanced programing, or engineering or they'd be doing that as a job
we could also replace most humans with robots.
We're not going to turn truck drivers into programers.
like there might be a team of a dozen engineers making tesla firmware updates, but that doesn't need to increase in size if tesla sells another 100k vehicles.
the jobs that are going to be secure in an automated future are those that require human touch and interaction.
and still low IQ third world is imported to our countries....
well, there will be in total less jobs available, but there will still be new job openings
nobody is going to want their hair cut by a robot, or have a robot massage therapist.
Going into space isn't going to solve the problem that eventually, of majority of Humanity through no fault of their own will be unemployable.
ehm
actually, i would like my hair cut by a robot
