and methods of colllection vary from country to country

2020-03-20 14:22:40 UTC

I mean it's obviously ripping in an exponential curve

2020-03-20 14:22:44 UTC

@Vindi you are correct and this is exactly why I am staying home because in Norway they did not do tracing

2020-03-20 14:22:44 UTC

so it isn't even a matter of 'similar error'

2020-03-20 14:22:55 UTC

even if your testing sucks you'll see the exponential curve at the hospital

2020-03-20 14:23:00 UTC

x^2 vs x^3

2020-03-20 14:23:08 UTC

both are exponetials

2020-03-20 14:23:15 UTC

big difference, yes?

2020-03-20 14:23:15 UTC

Nor testing but this number 19,795 called their doctor and were advised to stay at home

2020-03-20 14:23:38 UTC

so 19795 people called their doctor and were advised to stay home?

2020-03-20 14:23:44 UTC

If they do not stay at home they face a fine of 20,000 kr

2020-03-20 14:23:50 UTC

yeah, but what is the degree of hypocontdracts, teabag?

2020-03-20 14:23:52 UTC

which is about $10

2020-03-20 14:24:07 UTC

how conservatiove are the doctors relative to other countries?

2020-03-20 14:24:11 UTC

all unknowns

2020-03-20 14:24:23 UTC

I think technically an exponential is of the form (r0)^days

2020-03-20 14:24:31 UTC

@Vindi yep we were advised to stay at home because there are only tests for those with asthma

2020-03-20 14:24:35 UTC

so actually x^2 is not an exponential nor is x^3

2020-03-20 14:24:44 UTC

autism kills

2020-03-20 14:24:48 UTC

you get my point

2020-03-20 14:25:00 UTC

Mick Gordon is watching a vtuber play Doom right now lmao

just dont go outside and party like niggas. Ez.

2020-03-20 14:25:12 UTC

your 'technicality' has no bearing on how the situation is being handled

2020-03-20 14:25:23 UTC

@TEABAG!!! typical western minimalist intervention healthcare

2020-03-20 14:25:23 UTC

@Eccles No it is about 1,800 quid

2020-03-20 14:25:56 UTC

unlikely, it's foreign

2020-03-20 14:26:01 UTC

@Vindi Do not get me started on the swedes ... they have not closed their schools.

2020-03-20 14:26:03 UTC

my gf is a doctor. she practically prides herself on taking as little action as possible

2020-03-20 14:26:25 UTC

if someone came in with covid she'd wait until they're on death's door to administer antivirals even if the efficacy was proven

2020-03-20 14:26:41 UTC

and not test them unless they had serious symptoms

2020-03-20 14:26:44 UTC

They still think only old people get it and it is not true.... babies with other problems are getting infected and are dying

2020-03-20 14:26:50 UTC

The next time some idiot propose prohibition or tougher legislation/regulation against the alcohol industry, show them this:

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/distilleries-using-high-proof-alcohol-make-hand-sanitizer-n1161371

2020-03-20 14:26:56 UTC

point is each country has to be treated in terms of itself. it is safe to assume the error is similar between various elements within the same healthcare system; time of response, how conservative the testing, degree of error etc

2020-03-20 14:27:06 UTC

if they were just sick enough for hospital but were not worsening they'd just be like eh this seems to be resolving itself, no need to test or administer any medication

2020-03-20 14:27:08 UTC

but between countries, all bets are off

2020-03-20 14:27:19 UTC

Good time to invade france

2020-03-20 14:27:38 UTC

@Vindi exactly the protcols we have but we are now thinking of the vunerable

2020-03-20 14:27:40 UTC

i don't trust italy to be as competent in reporting as the UK

nor are the factors contributing to spreading the disease the same

2020-03-20 14:28:06 UTC

vulnerables will be the last to receive care when it really hits the fan
