It's a power fantasy but you're supposed to feel like you deserve the power since the demons fucking destroy you if you play poorly
maybe he got bored
i liked all of them
really liked bioshock, too
DOOM 3 was simple compared tbh, just had more of a horror style atmosphere
If a game where you're going up against demons doesn't make your skin crawl and your pants soiled, then it's not doing demons right.
didn't think much of quake 4
alot more generic tbh
'I want Lo Wang to be disempowered and brought down to a meek and beta male like state'
@Win Roe Any game is simple with quicksave features.
I hate that lo wang keeps saying dumb one liners that only he thinks is cool
I think you can do demons as sparkly rainbow faggots as long as you do it well and it's good
Artistic freedom and all
that's the benefit of checkpoint systems
or saves only at the start of levels
I really don't like DOOM Eternal's extra life system
Doom 3 did not go out of it's way to make things "simple" though. Doom 3 forced you into tight spaces to fight, enemies showing up where you didn't expect them, forced you to fight in darkness etc.
It did what it could to throw you off your game.
Doom Eternal makes no effort whatsoever to make you vulnerable. Large open spaces, perfect overview of where all the enemies are, fucking parkour jumping gimmicks, overpowered weapons etc. etc.
It feels extremely cheap imo
@Seven Proxies Have you played DOOM?
Everything is perfectly balanced
Even open spaces feel cramped if you're over run or out witted by the demons
@Eccles I enjoyed Bioshock as well. But more because of the story and setting rather than the gameplay to be honest.
same, seven
Hell the shotgun doesn't even insta gib basic zombies unless you aim correctly
@Eccles Also the first bioshock didn't seem like it could decide whether it was a horror game or an action shooter
both, it was going for both
thriller?
my man is sounding like a journo more n more
@Eccles Some horror parts I did really enjoy though. Like the plaster sculpture spider slicers segment
I enjoyed Blood too, not because of narrative, but because it's a fun and difficult game
And I don't really care what people think about Bioshock Infinite. The way the ending and the DLC Burial at Sea brought the whole series full circle was very satisfying imo
I feel like I'm being ignored because the guy has no argument since he has no experience and is just armchair critiquing
@Eccles Oh yeah Blood is awesome. I just wish it could get a serious and well made reboot
Imagine playing Blood with graphics like in Hunt: Showdown or better.
Surprised as fan doesn't make one, given the availability and accessability of engines and assets
Even though Hunt is a multiplayer game, it reminds me of Blood and Caleb a lot
as long as we talkin boomer shooters
Hedon gzdoom game ten bux deserves your money for not cucking to ResetEra
Wrath: Aeon of Ruin idtech 2 game not very many levels out but very promising quake-like game
Nightmare Reaper roguelike boomershooter that actually looks and has good weapons and gameplay loop unlike STRAFE
@Win Roe I've stated my arguments. You've stated yours. Didn't see any point of continuing.
I'ma take that as a win
anyway, stop lazing around in here and get out there an do some work
