its probably the bigger genre
Most of popular scifi isn't classic scifi
sci-fi always was 1) an extention of current reality and 2) dealt with the human conditon
Yep
star wars, even the original was.. blah
ok boomer
ITS HAPPENING
bit late side
nothing compared to something like Arthur C. CLarke's Childhood's End
which incidentally isnt a movie
and thus is pretty hard to compare
lol
no shit, sherlock
so why are you comparing them
??
but even Kubrick's file was totally different from the novel
i am not talking about the medium
i am talking about the genre
But there are very few movies like that
dune was classic sci fi
Star trek gets kinda close, but it's padded with action for obvious reasons
dune was science fiction fantasy
the original star trek, the twighlight zone vs Star Wars (original) and Lord of the Rings
two seperate genres
twighlight zone isnt hard sci fi in the least
Ok now you've lost me <:mananimal:583796112729702412>
regardless of medium
it entertained supernatural phenomena
of course i did
you are young and confused
what is unclear?
Twilight zone and lotr are different things altogether. You're currently comparing bananas to diesel engines
yes, but the word 'genre' is a general classified
Twilight zone is, mostly, sci fi
john carter of mars is science fiction fantasy
lovecraft is science fiction fantasy
and the twighlight zone had far more in common with the root of any of Arthur C CLarke's novels than it did Star Wars
Lovecraft is not science fiction fantasy
