The right of the individual to pursue happiness is one of the cornerstones of the United States Constitution.

I would therefore argue that putting a tax on amusement is unconstitutional.

2018-11-09 19:55:15 UTC

i was thinking about that as well^

2018-11-09 19:55:31 UTC

It's a higher percentage than the initial cogitate tax.

2018-11-09 19:55:34 UTC

Excise taxes are how this country got afloat man.

2018-11-09 19:55:47 UTC

@Swedishmafia101 Judging by how much wee kiddos rage in online games, it would be a simple matter to say that games are not conducive to said pursuit. 😉

2018-11-09 19:55:58 UTC

Look up the Whisky Rebellion.

2018-11-09 19:55:59 UTC

lol

2018-11-09 19:56:38 UTC

Video games are scientifically proven to be able to help people suffering from depression or trauma

2018-11-09 19:57:47 UTC

Perhaps that could be argued. Regardless, the constitution doesn't rule out taxation of things that may lead to happiness.

2018-11-09 19:57:54 UTC

yesn't in't

2018-11-09 19:58:02 UTC

@Khanclansith Excise taxes are being applied to utilities where i live

2018-11-09 19:58:14 UTC

not just superfluous items

2018-11-09 19:58:27 UTC

Can someone send me that video link in private so that I can remember to watch it later? 😛

2018-11-09 19:58:30 UTC

and u gonna be seeing that happen as well

2018-11-09 19:58:37 UTC

if not already

2018-11-09 19:59:04 UTC

Then @tritrium it is not an excise tax. Unless your government considers using the utillities a sin!

2018-11-09 19:59:05 UTC

I'm Swedish and it feels like I know the Constitution better than the fuckers who make your laws

2018-11-09 19:59:15 UTC

They do khan

2018-11-09 19:59:21 UTC

and it is an excise tax

2018-11-09 19:59:32 UTC

@Swedishmafia101 I thought you were Danish.

2018-11-09 19:59:38 UTC

Meanwhile in Missouri prob getting a few lower taxes

2018-11-09 19:59:47 UTC

Some people actually think I'm not Swedish

2018-11-09 20:00:09 UTC

They think I'm American because I'm fluent in English

2018-11-09 20:00:11 UTC

I like Swedish Fish btw. 😉

2018-11-09 20:00:29 UTC

I don't

2018-11-09 20:00:47 UTC

😑

2018-11-09 20:03:02 UTC

@tritrium I am sorry your government has abandoned all reason.

2018-11-09 20:05:33 UTC

@Matt-Kill723 He released ALMOST all? So some of them said they were indeed planning to kill people? 🤔

2018-11-09 20:06:06 UTC

idk

2018-11-09 20:06:11 UTC

I didn't even read it lol

2018-11-09 20:06:54 UTC

@Khanclansith if the argument is that consuming electricity/water is bad for the environment and therefor they need to levy heavy taxes on said items to reduce consumption, which are then simply transferred to the actual consumer.
Then that is an excise tax afaik.

2018-11-09 20:09:25 UTC

@tritrium So using electricity and or water for cooking, preserving food, keeping people from freezing is a sin as well by that rational.

2018-11-09 20:10:52 UTC

That is precisely the reasoning yes, but its all good because its sugarcoated by "the environment". The fact that lower income families face financial problems over this is completely ignored by the leftist gutmensch

2018-11-09 20:11:24 UTC

Its now being discussed about red meat, another one of those type of taxes

2018-11-09 20:12:35 UTC

You know, these goddamn peasants should simply stop eating meat and just stick with potatoes like they used to. -leftist gutmensch

2018-11-09 20:13:17 UTC

Maybe the "Peasents" should have themselves another Bastile Day?

2018-11-09 20:13:58 UTC

Well we will see, it might happen if their personal lives are getting screwed with too much

2018-11-09 20:14:14 UTC

But i dont see anything happen untill then

2018-11-09 20:24:10 UTC

You guys seem whats going on with the 100k uncounter votes found in Miami?
