the collary to the old "the absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence" is that "the evidence of absence is not the absence of evidence" (how black holes and dark matter got theorized). It blows my mind that people cannot or will not apply that very same principle to anything else such as figuring why the vote system is so corrupt in florida
I'm all for accountability. I want accurate results of elections even if I don't like those results. We need faith in elections.
I don't trust computer only
just because we cannot see something directly does not mean that we cannot track it's effects on variables that we can see after all

its very easy to rig electronic voting machines for your favor. even with block chain if you rig it at the voting point you're still fucked.
The arguments to go to war will be different on the left and the right, but I have no doubt they would become very serious very fast.

well yeah, i mean with physical ballots we've already figured out how to make it secure.
the only REAL way is verbal ballots
even then its still somewhat flawed, but we've got it much mroe reliable.
I am intrigued by computers that print paper ballots. The results of the paper count should match the computer result. The paper permits hunsn eyes to validate.
so even if it works to hurt the republicans, it also strips the democrats of their own voice because then everything is suspect and it's possible they get a candidate that even they didn't want
