in fact, the USA is literally the only country on earth that allows actual free speech for the most part. They are the singular freest country for speech in the world

2018-11-13 05:14:38 UTC

And besides, there's plenty of moral outrage that doesn't lead to arrests in places like the UK

2018-11-13 05:14:40 UTC

go to canada and 'misgender' a person on accident and enjoy that 1 year prison sentence they give you

2018-11-13 05:14:57 UTC

You can say nigger in the UK in context and still get harpies yelling at you

2018-11-13 05:15:17 UTC

What, you mean like making a joke video about your dog doing a nazi salute

2018-11-13 05:15:34 UTC

They'd never charge someone with a crime like that

2018-11-13 05:15:57 UTC

of course they would, that is WAY worse then child rape gangs after all

2018-11-13 05:16:09 UTC

I'm talking about things even less severe than jokes

2018-11-13 05:16:19 UTC

Merely stating a word in context still causes outrage in non US places

2018-11-13 05:17:08 UTC

in wiltshire (UK) if you criticize the police online they will arrest you

2018-11-13 05:17:26 UTC

The US is apparently the only place with real free speech, minus yelling fire in a crowded theater for example

2018-11-13 05:17:28 UTC

Any of you watch crimebodge?

2018-11-13 05:18:18 UTC

@Gilgamesh what do you think would happen if you yelled fire in a crowded movie theater? oh, sure, youll be thrown out if you disturb the movie like that buuut...

2018-11-13 05:18:45 UTC

@Gilgamesh by the way, that sentence is a quote from the opinion of a judge when they upheld punishment for anti-war-speech.

2018-11-13 05:18:49 UTC

If people panic and rush out, it could cause harm. It would also ruin a movie

2018-11-13 05:18:58 UTC

Movies ruin themselves these days

2018-11-13 05:19:06 UTC

What quote?

2018-11-13 05:19:13 UTC

@Redneo it's a saying more then a literal quote. Just means don't intentionally create a false panic in the hopes of getting people hurt

2018-11-13 05:19:16 UTC

@Sixer that about a crowded movie theater

2018-11-13 05:19:23 UTC

Oh.

2018-11-13 05:19:29 UTC

You would obviously summon an inferno upon invoking such a powerful fire spell.

2018-11-13 05:19:43 UTC

Well I agree that incitement to violence or false panic shouldn't be allowed

2018-11-13 05:19:53 UTC

Its funny, one thing the police can't (legally) do in the UK is order you out of your vehicle

2018-11-13 05:19:59 UTC

Its the opposite here

2018-11-13 05:20:07 UTC

They can order you into or out of your vehicle

2018-11-13 05:20:13 UTC

But doesn't the media specialize in making false panics over non-issues?

2018-11-13 05:20:18 UTC

Yes

2018-11-13 05:20:29 UTC

Crimebodge is awesome though

2018-11-13 05:20:32 UTC

But the media is run by the people controlling the government

2018-11-13 05:20:35 UTC

that and trying to make everything about themselves

2018-11-13 05:21:48 UTC

Media is propaganda. For better or worse

2018-11-13 05:22:18 UTC

the death throes of a doomed media format trying to take everything else down with it?

2018-11-13 05:22:31 UTC

No, they move to the next format

2018-11-13 05:22:38 UTC

YouTube is becoming mainstream

2018-11-13 05:22:42 UTC

Twitter as well

2018-11-13 05:22:47 UTC

the concept of "yelling fire in a movie theater" is that, if your words are specifically meant to have consequences, and then they do, you are responsible for those consequences.

"I hate niggers" - meh, whatever, doesn't mean a thing.
"Niggers should die." - okay, getting touchy.
"Everyone should get their guns and go shoot a nigger immediately." - Officially illegal. Even if no one does it, you are now actively trying to cause others to break the law.

2018-11-13 05:23:00 UTC

twitter.. lol. Last I heard they were having massive issues

2018-11-13 05:23:21 UTC

I agree @JustTom

2018-11-13 05:23:52 UTC

@Misomania when massive media sites all ban the same groups despite not being linked financially, that is proof of control

2018-11-13 05:23:54 UTC

There is even more context to it then that, if you're saying that to a crowd, yes. Illegal.
If you're saying it to one friend, probably not illegal
