My friend and roommate is a neuroscience major, I'm a psychology major.

Crispr may help modify my body to be at least more durable to time until we figure out how to fix the geriatric damages

2018-11-21 00:45:41 UTC

Well we also have to come to terms with the fact that immortality is ultimately undesirable, and I think anyone who lives long enough will eventually desire release from life.

2018-11-21 00:45:54 UTC

I realize that

2018-11-21 00:46:01 UTC

But I can just off myself

2018-11-21 00:46:04 UTC

On my terms

2018-11-21 00:46:13 UTC

Not because time is up

2018-11-21 00:46:18 UTC

I think 100-200 years would be an optimal timespan for a human.

2018-11-21 00:46:25 UTC

Perhaps

2018-11-21 00:46:28 UTC

Or not

2018-11-21 00:46:37 UTC

Will see

2018-11-21 00:46:52 UTC

I have a reason to seek immortality

2018-11-21 00:47:14 UTC

I assume anyone can find a reason to be immortal

2018-11-21 00:47:28 UTC

I don't want to amass wealth or some stuff

2018-11-21 00:47:34 UTC

I just want to watch

2018-11-21 00:47:47 UTC

To see what people come up with

2018-11-21 00:47:50 UTC

Progress

2018-11-21 00:47:52 UTC

I get that, you want to see how it plays out

2018-11-21 00:47:57 UTC

Yes

2018-11-21 00:48:04 UTC

I always liked history

2018-11-21 00:48:16 UTC

And I want to observe the now

2018-11-21 00:48:31 UTC

And also help science for a long time

2018-11-21 00:48:44 UTC

I might change my views

2018-11-21 00:48:51 UTC

I am just 15.5

2018-11-21 00:48:59 UTC

Young as hell

2018-11-21 00:49:20 UTC

I had an almost exact desire that you had around that age, not like I am too much older, I'm 20.

2018-11-21 00:49:39 UTC

Why did you lose it?

2018-11-21 00:49:52 UTC

Or do you retain it

2018-11-21 00:50:11 UTC

everyone as a teen wants immortality, after a while you realize that it sucks cause u will never age while everyone around you gets older

2018-11-21 00:50:11 UTC

I didn't necessarily deny it so much as came to terms that I do not need to be conscious to participate in the future. As long as I leave an impact in the present there will be others who will perpetuate my presence in the future.

2018-11-21 00:50:50 UTC

I have been through that @Pyro

2018-11-21 00:50:53 UTC

not to mention that u can be tortured for all of eternity

2018-11-21 00:51:32 UTC

I realised the problem of immortality when I understood that my parents would die

2018-11-21 00:51:40 UTC

when I was like 10

2018-11-21 00:51:45 UTC

People who yearn for immortality in life need not know about death.

2018-11-21 00:51:51 UTC

Tolkien explains the flaw of immortality through his depiction of Elves. Their love for the world and their long lives eventually causes them too much grief and they have to escape from.

2018-11-21 00:52:00 UTC

and in order for immortality to be enjoyed it has to be paired with a bunch of other traits

2018-11-21 00:52:04 UTC

Quite a nice little proverb style comment from your boy huh

2018-11-21 00:52:13 UTC

Lile eternal youth @Pyro

2018-11-21 00:52:22 UTC

not eternal youth

2018-11-21 00:52:25 UTC

shapeshifting
