Compared to the army ya just gotta do a one mile at ruck speed
Honestly fuck the marines
Without a ruck sack
Like their pt
Rucking is ass
Only the first mile though
What's ya workout schedule justin?
Do ya go to the gym or just do it at home
Had my friend who’s in the marines do a 13 mile hike in full gear with sack
That’s a big oof
I've done that but not with full gear
damn
It's funny, talking to my buddy who just got back from deployment in Afghanistan, he said actual deployment is much easier than boot camp when it comes to just the overall physical requirement.
Boot camp prepares you for that, what if scenario.
Boot camp is just supposed to break ya regardless of where you're at
That’s kinda what I was saying earlier
Dornan is correct
You can get sent to basic without being able to barely do a push up but you're not gonna have a fun time
I don't understand people who don't physically prepare.
No you have to pass a pre pt test before you can join
I don't either
I wish that's how it was universally
That's why I decided a year ahead of time, so I have a whole year to prep.
Just if you pass a PT test you're good regardless
Marine recruiters have pt where poolees have to attend, and you have to pass that test before they send you
I haven't seen anything with that in the army
I know there's future soldier but I dunno if that's mandatory
Could just be a lousy recruiter
Army here trains with marines
Maybe it is mandatory only after you've signed
But haven't shipped
I dunno
Most likely
They all have their poolee shirts on when exercising
It's kinda fecken weird that there are people who go through basic but can't pass minimum standards
Dude, the sun and are doesn't make your skin want to fall off, it's actually an okay temperature in Florida right now.
So they get put on a very fecken strict diet and exercise routine
It’s been really good the past couple of days here too
It was cool in the morning
I'm in Ohio and it's been averaging 69 for a week now
