Jerusalem, eh?
One of the coolest things to find would be an endangered gopher tortoise.
What an odd name for a creature
It's called a gopher tortoise because it lives in deep underground burrows.
Today I must disturb the domiciles of many silver orb weavers
Oh, that's cool
I didn't know tortoises burrowed
Most don't.
We don't have tortoises
Wait
I think we might, unless they're creek turtles or something
Whatever they are, we don't gtt them here
Just checked, we have 18 species' of tortoise
My view.
Turn up brightness to see the trees.
Going bush bashing now?
Is that fishbone fern? It's a weed here and the reason I must disturb the homes of many a silver orb Weaver today
I am in the jungle bois
And I am not sure.
I think your rucks might be more meaningful if you got into plant ID
I know my walks are
Shamanic bush trips become more profound and personal know that I know the names of a lot of the plants around me
Last time I went through a ruck deep in the woods, I found a baby Timber rattlesnake.
I would not want to run into a full-grown one though
That palm looks like a livistonia decora but I don't think it is because I'm pretty sure they're native to here
I'll check
Should I start moving fallen trees to look for snakes.
It's not the decora, that's certain. Definitely a livistona though
"fan palm" basically
I found a snake hole, but no snake, it's probably hunting, if I waited a couple hours I'd probably see it
Idfw snakes
Spiders? Cool
Snakes? Fuck right off and all
