An armed standoff with police does not end well. Unless you’re intent on seeking revolution, and even then—considering the fact the states are more or less federal subjects, who’ll call upon military assistance if they themselves cannot put down a local revolution—his success may as well be, minimal. As far as I know, he has no political allies in office, no lobbyists in his favor, and hardly any Congressional sympathy, he’s as forementioned, delaying an inevitable result.
