I’m sorry, but it is extremely cringe when people from the south of the US call people from the north Yankees. It is such an old term that doesn’t really apply anymore. It only makes sense when people genuinely to the south such as Australia call us Yankees. Calling people in your own country, like 8 hour drive away a yankee is cringe as hell

Especially people born late 90’s calling people Yankees. It just makes no sense at all
