Soldiers loyalties should be largely to their states and states should hold the millitary accounatble

2018-11-27 02:57:48 UTC

i think the individuals need a way to cut funding if it becomes corrupted

2018-11-27 02:58:39 UTC

Maybe excert power in a diplomatic way, states can use their economies as leverage currently I think, however that could always be reinforced

2018-11-27 02:59:02 UTC

forcing people to pay for drone striking kids is the thing we're trying to avoid, imo

2018-11-27 02:59:38 UTC

i think states are too easily swayed and corruptable

2018-11-27 03:00:01 UTC

If you can name something that isn't, I'm dying to know.

2018-11-27 03:00:03 UTC

If corruption becomes pervelant enough states should have more power to deal with it, resources from states often have to contribute to the drone strikes

2018-11-27 03:00:52 UTC

sorry i dont mean stopping corruption entirely, i just mean reducing it and having ways for the common person to withdraw their own dollars from it
since voting obviously doesnt work

2018-11-27 03:02:08 UTC

I am not sure how an ideal republic or variation would look exactly under a reformed American government and it is something I need to research more in regards to giving people more power over the central government

2018-11-27 03:02:35 UTC

another problem is of course that if people withdraw their dollars from it, the government can just print new money to pay for it

2018-11-27 03:03:02 UTC

Perhaps part of it is state government rather than people directly should influence the people with authority in a central government

2018-11-27 03:03:20 UTC

Course then that starts to sound like the EU

2018-11-27 03:03:29 UTC

yeah screw that

2018-11-27 03:04:04 UTC

Perhaps part of the problem is that currrent states are obsessed with growth

2018-11-27 03:04:17 UTC

yeah

2018-11-27 03:04:23 UTC

Because that is what drives what is essentially printing money

2018-11-27 03:04:48 UTC

If you made it impossible to print money it would cause growth to slow down

2018-11-27 03:04:58 UTC

But is that entirely wrong? (In regards to slowing down growth)

2018-11-27 03:05:59 UTC

The reason it would cause growth to slow down is that QE is to save the system because it is unstable, but it is unstable ultimately because of the obsession with growth for clarity

2018-11-27 03:07:21 UTC

In this case the government is enabling instability for what it must see as the justifiable cause of growth

2018-11-27 03:20:31 UTC
