people are paying for and having actualy exorcisms performed on people, so there is indeed some harm

2018-12-06 01:48:47 UTC

sorry I read that wrong

2018-12-06 01:48:53 UTC

Idiots.

2018-12-06 01:48:57 UTC

@Bayesed who cares

2018-12-06 01:48:59 UTC

Catholics do exorcisms for free.

2018-12-06 01:49:14 UTC

yeah honestly I don't mind that people who believe in exorcisms are poorer for it.

2018-12-06 01:49:33 UTC

*I wouldn't go to France*

2018-12-06 01:49:47 UTC

its just scary to think people can belive such things, and are interacting with you and affecting your life on a daily basis

2018-12-06 01:49:52 UTC

voting and shit

2018-12-06 01:50:03 UTC

France. Is no longer. France.

2018-12-06 01:50:19 UTC

You could be talking to one *right now*.

2018-12-06 01:50:20 UTC

@Bayesed who cares?

2018-12-06 01:50:24 UTC

OOOOoooOOOoo.

2018-12-06 01:50:34 UTC

3spoopy5me

2018-12-06 01:50:43 UTC

@Bayesed And there are people who think communism works in our government.

2018-12-06 01:50:56 UTC

I care that half of Americans have beliefs that aren't based on any scientific evidence, whatsoever

2018-12-06 01:50:58 UTC

Brb gonna throw out all the vaccines to prevent demonic possession

2018-12-06 01:51:12 UTC

I'm sorry that no one's stuck a demon in a mass spectrometer.

2018-12-06 01:51:13 UTC

Yet.

2018-12-06 01:51:20 UTC

we need vaccines to prevent idiotic beliefs

2018-12-06 01:51:21 UTC

and communism killed far more people than exorcisms did in the last 100 years.

2018-12-06 01:51:30 UTC

@Bayesed science proves nothing against the existence of God. Nice try.

2018-12-06 01:51:31 UTC

I don't think vaccines prevent idiotic beliefs.

2018-12-06 01:51:34 UTC

No gay frogs, no demon needles

2018-12-06 01:51:42 UTC

If you have an idiot vaccine, you need to tell somebody.

2018-12-06 01:51:46 UTC

Yes, you can't prove a negative

2018-12-06 01:52:40 UTC

@Bayesed You don’t get it. It’s not about proving or disproving a negative. Science literally can’t tell you about anything outside of the universe.

2018-12-06 01:52:58 UTC

Well, by definition. there is nothing outside the universe

2018-12-06 01:53:03 UTC

so yes clearly

2018-12-06 01:53:03 UTC

The point is to provide evidence that your claim is true btw

2018-12-06 01:53:13 UTC

That's the key component

2018-12-06 01:53:17 UTC

What counts as evidence?

2018-12-06 01:53:17 UTC

Outside of the *physical* universe.

2018-12-06 01:53:25 UTC

Define your terms.

2018-12-06 01:53:31 UTC

The physical sciences only study physical things, of course.

2018-12-06 01:53:36 UTC
2018-12-06 01:53:41 UTC

Op

2018-12-06 01:54:08 UTC

Bethesda best company

2018-12-06 01:54:30 UTC

If i am going to believe something I will need supporting evidence. I need information and data that support the statement. Data and information that fit into the current framework of our knowledge.

2018-12-06 01:54:36 UTC

Well as an example if you didn't believe that crows exist, I could show you a picture of a crow, or crow feathers, test some crow blood, point to a space in the ecosystem where a crow-like entity probably exists, perhaps even bring in a crow
