Idk, MREs have a certian way of sucking the life out of you. And its aleays the ones you least expect

i've never eaten an MRE but I spent quite a few long hikes eating Mountain House...*shivers* fuck that

when they don't rehydrate completely...god

most MREs dont have the rehydration issue, you can eat them cold if you like. I dont, but its possible. Generally some are worse than others, like most of the veggie ones are ass
