well just describe what you mean, for the sake of argument

2018-12-19 09:55:21 UTC

Basically a house on a certain amount of land

2018-12-19 09:56:11 UTC

real property

2018-12-19 09:56:11 UTC

So a person would be allowed to vote if they have atleast, a house on a certain sized strip of land?

2018-12-19 09:56:13 UTC

that's the word

2018-12-19 09:56:21 UTC

yes

2018-12-19 09:56:38 UTC

Basically so you can't be a poor person voting for welfare

2018-12-19 09:56:54 UTC

poor person = crack head

2018-12-19 09:57:40 UTC

fair enough, but what if you have a rich person/company, buying lots of land, dividing it up, placing a minimum required shack there, and selling it to people, on the condition they vote what the rich person want?

2018-12-19 09:57:57 UTC

thereby locking out the other voters

2018-12-19 09:58:03 UTC

anonymous voting

2018-12-19 09:58:08 UTC

they wouldn't find out

2018-12-19 09:58:12 UTC

also I'm fine with that

2018-12-19 09:58:47 UTC

well you don't need to care for anonymous voting, just give a row of immigrants/protesters of the same side property

2018-12-19 09:58:52 UTC

so you can swing the vote in your favor

2018-12-19 09:59:22 UTC

they are Voluntarily having person vote for them

2018-12-19 09:59:36 UTC

they can make that choice

2018-12-19 10:00:14 UTC

true, but they can influence it,

By buying like 1,000 sq kilometers of land,

And giving 1,000 people the vote

As opposed to a farmer who can't do the same, thus creating a voting gap of roughly 1:1000

2018-12-19 10:00:50 UTC

Electoral college

2018-12-19 10:00:57 UTC

founder fathers already thought that up

2018-12-19 10:01:05 UTC

but thats per state

2018-12-19 10:01:17 UTC

also remove the 17th amendment

2018-12-19 10:03:40 UTC

I'm not familiar with the rights to vote over state lines

cuz you can effectively, buy land in like, Kansas, or Nebraska, or one of those flyover states, give it to some californian person, and since they have property in said state, you can fly them over there to vote

2018-12-19 10:04:46 UTC

You would obviously have to be a resident of that state

2018-12-19 10:06:19 UTC

like i said i'm not that familiar with US voting laws,

in EU, other country citizens can vote in local elections in my country :S

2018-12-19 10:06:37 UTC

I can have Portugese people vote in my Dutch elections

2018-12-19 10:06:46 UTC

weird

2018-12-19 10:06:54 UTC

but that wouldn't work in the USA

2018-12-19 10:06:59 UTC

fair point

2018-12-19 10:07:03 UTC

to vote you must be a resident of that state

2018-12-19 10:07:57 UTC

The founding fathers figured this all out

2018-12-19 10:08:01 UTC

they were smart af

2018-12-19 10:08:14 UTC

nah

2018-12-19 10:08:23 UTC

cuz you can given time, basically deplatform your opponents

2018-12-19 10:08:36 UTC

by basically buying up all land

2018-12-19 10:08:56 UTC

during the founding of the US, there was more land than people, so you could just re-settle, and vote though that

2018-12-19 10:09:10 UTC

We have a lot of land still

2018-12-19 10:09:15 UTC

2018-12-19 10:09:26 UTC

yeah, but you can lay claim to it

2018-12-19 10:09:46 UTC

back then, there wasn't enough people/influence to claim a few thousand miles of land
