tbh everybody has some sort of paraphilia, it just means kink. but if you use it technically i believe the distinction is one MUST adhere to said kink to be able to get off. Example: Lots of people like the idea of mild S&M, very few people actually feel the need to engage in S&M (or its atleast not needed, completely secondary)
