well in theory anyway
there is a futility on apply rules and restrictions on an age demographic that is predisosed to rebelling and disregarding authority.
Im all for baseline laws (18+) with abilities to opt out
Like drivers ed
you can do something if you take a (shitty) government course on autonomy
can be a school extracarricular
well if you're in the USA, the 26th (?) ammendment pretty much locks the age of majority at 18
there is a complication from all the computer tech we've applied in the workforce
it's made the entry level jobs of old redundant
so the younger generations will need more and more specialised training, and on going training
or even retraining depending on the sector
Im cool with that
Im glad im not a farmer
lol
you mean "agricultural engineer"?
Im a software dev, so there is plenty of great enginnering in ag
lots if IOT to be done
Im just hoping that society is able to keep up with tech advancement
i'd argue that it's not keeping up with it
even now
lots of health issues just because of smartphones
blue light delaying sleep, interrupting normal and healthy social interaction
not to mention the political polarisation
still though, happy days.
Yeah unemployment will be coming in huge waves soon
Just hope its small enough that society can absorb the hit
probably.
The tucker/ben shapiro argument was good
but still left a lot undiscussed
which argument was that?
Range of topics, but mostly the arrival of self driving tech
and if the gov't should interfere
self driving tech probably isn't going to happen as soon as it's being alluded to.
it's nowhere near road safe yet
Well, AI is helping
autonomous AI?
I think the development will start to rapidly snowball
`there is much more progress to be made`
