Orville is a mistake
it shouldnt be a comedy (and it largely isnt, really)
....................................
Orville is not comedy.
But, it's not deathly serious either.
but generally, its just a up to date TNG, doesnt really bring much new
It doesn't need to.
shush, Garak
Nyet.
Garak didnt know Russian as far as it was shown on the show 😉
He was an intelligence operative.
now, voyager and ds9 were excellent star trek shows
He knew Russian.
He shared a station and ship with worf... who knew russian.
this is true, @Misomania
but then you could claim that about STD
They were also able to handle forced sexual reassignment better than the Next Generation.
This is true.
actually, they had black female wesley in std
Refinement of an idea is a good thing.
*wonders if its too soon to do binge watching of ds9 ... did that start of the year*
They handled that episode surprisingly well actually.
Except for that last bit.
Having the most inspiration figure in their history be a female was... It felt forced.
I liked the fact that they 'lost'.
eh, this dislike of mikey spock seems a bit odd. she gest accused of being a mary sue
She is a mary sue.
how?
Arrogant, more science stuff than the science officer, close-quarters combat expert against the klingons.
i would watch it but seth mcfarlane has been pissing me off lately. Such as this new metoo'ing of quagmire
Is related to one of the franchises most beloved characters.
she's portraying a starfleet officer and XO of a starship, they're suppose to be well trained. This isnt like Rey, a nobody scavanger from some sand world that suddenly knows how to fly a starship, use a light saber and has force powers yet no training
@Brant, when did we hear Riker talk about Data's brain?
Or hear the Indian one talk about photonic realities?
An XO is a command officer, they have to be generalists.
spock was an XO right? and science officer
He was also one of the few people to hold both posts.
