Logic, like most things, is more of shades of gray

2018-12-29 04:35:46 UTC

eh i guess

2018-12-29 04:35:56 UTC

@Dusty Morgan thank you dusty, you are an hero

2018-12-29 04:35:57 UTC

theres right, theres wrong, and theres frantic attempts to deduce right from very very limited information

2018-12-29 04:36:08 UTC

"Logic" is what you use to justify decisions you made illogically, so it's worthless. I feel stupid having dumped a lot of skill points into it

2018-12-29 04:36:20 UTC

@QuakeIV subjective to some, but I believe in objective universal morality

2018-12-29 04:36:47 UTC

oh, a religious zealot here

2018-12-29 04:36:56 UTC

yes

2018-12-29 04:36:59 UTC

y'all need jesus

2018-12-29 04:37:02 UTC

@Copernicus no, that is the mysterious "lie to yourself" action which uses logic as a base stat

2018-12-29 04:37:28 UTC

I agree that there's an objective universal morality, but there's no way that any human could attain complete knowledge of it with limited information, so it's a worthless concept for all practical purposes

2018-12-29 04:37:29 UTC

what's my neighbor got to do with this?

2018-12-29 04:37:33 UTC

@Paradox no I am not religious I just believe logic and compassion are interwoven

2018-12-29 04:37:55 UTC

i think thats a perverse statement

2018-12-29 04:38:00 UTC

logic can serve many goals

2018-12-29 04:38:07 UTC

@Copernicus right, it is shades of it. We aren't omniscient

2018-12-29 04:38:29 UTC

@QuakeIV perverse lol I like it

2018-12-29 04:38:36 UTC

I took the postmodernist pill so don't bother trying to save me, btw

2018-12-29 04:38:39 UTC

Yes it does have many uses

2018-12-29 04:39:11 UTC

Logic is a tool to be more complex based on what you want to do, and what you want is based more so on your desired which is likely your subconscious

2018-12-29 04:39:20 UTC

Be it astrology oriented or animalistic

2018-12-29 04:39:25 UTC

Personality versus needs of the bodg

2018-12-29 04:39:27 UTC

Body*

2018-12-29 04:39:34 UTC

sounds religious

2018-12-29 04:39:45 UTC

I disagree to me but to you I see how

2018-12-29 04:39:49 UTC

lot of "believing" almost got cher stuck in my head...

2018-12-29 04:40:08 UTC

Oh dear I'm sorry. Idk how it sounds but it seems you don't like that song

2018-12-29 04:40:11 UTC

I don't think it's easy to separate knowledge from belief

2018-12-29 04:40:20 UTC

I agree @Copernicus

2018-12-29 04:40:39 UTC

We memorize things but we believe it to be true more because we trust others

2018-12-29 04:40:48 UTC

Testing it for yourself is better

2018-12-29 04:41:06 UTC

Right, and at some point you have to trust what information you are given by others because you don't have the time to deduce everything yourself

2018-12-29 04:41:31 UTC

Or you are just illogical and think rank means higher intelligence

2018-12-29 04:41:35 UTC

Either way

2018-12-29 04:41:59 UTC

do you though, have to trust others?

2018-12-29 04:42:03 UTC

I'll delegate a lot of thinking to others because it's just easier that way

2018-12-29 04:42:10 UTC
2018-12-29 04:42:38 UTC

The only time it's in your interest to not trust someone is if they encourage you to act in a way that you already understand to be wrong

2018-12-29 04:43:03 UTC

I don't trust anyone but I do have to act like it to accomplish tasks. If they are wrong and I fail due to their false info, I merely blame them or myself depending on the scenario but..

2018-12-29 04:43:10 UTC

This is basic
