Ah ok so I’m part of gen z

2018-12-31 03:56:26 UTC

but i think it's just millenials who dont want to be associated with millenials

2018-12-31 03:56:34 UTC

I am part of Millenials sadly.

2018-12-31 03:56:34 UTC

it slowly ticks down it used to be 2000 i think

2018-12-31 03:56:36 UTC

*Sighs.*

2018-12-31 03:56:36 UTC

or 1997

2018-12-31 03:56:40 UTC

and it's getting deeper

2018-12-31 03:56:50 UTC

Im 2001 so

2018-12-31 03:57:04 UTC

which is funny that 1995 which would be a lot of college graduates

2018-12-31 03:57:04 UTC

I am part of the first generation of millenials.

2018-12-31 03:57:20 UTC

Right after baby boomers.... who basically started to see the rise of technology.

2018-12-31 03:57:23 UTC

a lot of college textbooks say 2000

2018-12-31 03:57:55 UTC

just because the textbook shouldnt be older than the student doesnt mean its less right

2018-12-31 03:58:27 UTC

I read textbooks from the 1800s so... ya

2018-12-31 03:58:37 UTC

. . . majority of my textbooks are brand new

2018-12-31 03:58:42 UTC

got some books that date as far back as the late 1700s actually

2018-12-31 03:59:01 UTC

a literature textbook is going to change in years, a math book is going to change, but a history book should be always right

2018-12-31 03:59:18 UTC

In all honesty, textbooks from back in the 1700's, 1800's, and 1900's is pretty damn interesting.

2018-12-31 03:59:22 UTC

To see how people were taught back then.

2018-12-31 03:59:29 UTC

math will pretty much always be right, fuck common core btw

2018-12-31 03:59:32 UTC

To see how they thought life was back then.

2018-12-31 03:59:35 UTC

Gives me a glimpse into the past.

2018-12-31 04:00:10 UTC

i cringe when i see a harvard stamp, but then i realize that 1916 was very differnt

2018-12-31 04:00:18 UTC

ya

2018-12-31 04:00:24 UTC

old books are cool

2018-12-31 04:00:30 UTC

I wanna get rid of common core

2018-12-31 04:00:40 UTC

@Dusty Morgan literally no different then it was in the 80s and 90s... strange isn't it? even math books from 1788 are no different then was I was taught in 1990

2018-12-31 04:00:41 UTC

It’s ensuring I go home with 8 hours of homework each night

2018-12-31 04:00:46 UTC

idk with the math buddy. A lot of students are taught to solve problems left to right instead of PEMDAS

2018-12-31 04:00:46 UTC

Yeah... got to remember. The world is completely different a 100 years ago.

2018-12-31 04:00:50 UTC

Ask any 100+ year old.

2018-12-31 04:01:00 UTC

They see the world change so much, that they really don't feel apart of the world.

2018-12-31 04:01:37 UTC

@Misomania Math is something that is so useful, it hasn't be changed in a long time.

2018-12-31 04:01:47 UTC

i really enjoy this show

2018-12-31 04:01:48 UTC
2018-12-31 04:01:53 UTC

@Misomania In a effort to change, they pushed the common core that doesn't really make sense.

2018-12-31 04:02:03 UTC

they show the formula, they explain what it does, they give a few examples and then ask you to complete a few basic examples yourself. Literally has not changed

2018-12-31 04:02:11 UTC

@Misomania I think scientists should be in charge of what changes or doesn't changes in our text books.

2018-12-31 04:02:19 UTC

Not politicians or political figures.

2018-12-31 04:02:37 UTC

paranoia, trying to connect with yourself, and being able to do whatever you want

2018-12-31 04:03:25 UTC

what is funny is that I have an old history test from 1830 something (can't remember the exact year) from someone in elementary school. It was about the founding fathers.... and she failed the test, lol. Got like a 34 percent
