True... but people are not infalliable.
They are not perfect. They do make mistakes.
i'd accept his apology
oh come on the damage is already done..
that
What I have issue with is the people who double down and the people issuing death threats.
true
that uncle shoes guy clarified his "fire on" statement
but theres a difference between a random pleb getting it wrong and apologising
and someoen like phil who should've known better
^
he very specifically meant for people to physically assault them by striking them with a clenched fist, not shooting them with a gun
Philip will make mistakes. Hell even Timcast has made mistakes.
he made a mistake, a big one, but to be fair both the left and the right were going all out on the kids.. he probably thought it was safe. so yeah, he fucked up, but it wasnt malicious or anything.
it was human error
We can't treat them any different than how you treat another individual. Give them the benefit of doubt and make sure they learn from their mistake.
thats the problem, it wasn't malice
but the road to hell is paved by good intentions
That is the way I see things. How can we advance as a society, if we don't have the compacity to forgive?
Tim talks about it all the time though.. the amount of people that see the original statement vs the correction.. its dangerous now to just emotionally react to anything you know nothing about
forgiveness is done by redemption, not by apologies
>I killed someone, oops i'm sorry
"hmm okay well you seem remorseful, you go free"
Philip defrance put out a video, correcting the narrative and situation. He apologized and now standing beside the kids on this. He feels incredibly stupid about it.
i dont see a way out
armed insurgency will start to sprout imo
He is actively trying to correct the situation... not just apologize and let it go.
I can see that and i do accept the apology
that doesn't block me from saying it was stupid and he should've known better
His viewers now know the full story.
those that watched both
Yeah, he should have known better.
But I accept his apologize, because it came with a video explaining the situation better and correcting his misconsumptions.
i accept it too
saying that no one is allowed to make mistakes is pretty extreme. he didnt kill someone, he believed information that was wrong but that information was being spouted by MULTIPLE sources, like hundreds of sources
its uncommon for so many people to be so wrong
He provide the real story, not just a apology video. How many apologizes these day from the media do you see come with a correction like this. The whole video was dedicated to correcting what he misrepresented.
Very rarely do we see something like this.
EVER
thats why its important to not be all ":D omg we still love you we forgive its okay"
He dun goofed, he needs to be aware of the seriousness of the mistake
Well he is aware of his mistake Dr. Wol.
yes
but to say "oh well, no harm done" is extremely dangerous
cuz THIS TIME it was no harm done
no one is saying no harm done
