people buy consoles because the companies can afford to sell them for cheaper than they should as they can offset the cost by selling licenses to game devs. Which makes them slightly cheaper than a PC of similar quality with brand new hardware.

i5 3570k, gtx 970 (used to be 660) and 16gb ram

because my "old" laptop was legit old. it was top in the line in 2011. it stopped playing new stuff in 2015.
