I can promise you 90% of the women in Japan dont care.
I mean the idea of a woman using the same name as the man is because it's a family unit
Japan is great
^
Why not the man take the woman's last name, then?
You put your family before the individual
Because that isn't their culture
Why do you feel the need to change it?
Japan is great, and it's getting better over time
Because it's been a male tradition for one, thats happened for thousands of years
Because they do
They don't
Why change something when it makes zero difference
Obviously these women feel the need to change it
No they don't lol
How do you explain that justice, though
Or the women joining the JSDF
I wouldn't marry a woman who wouldn't take my last name ngl
Most of my friends wives are Japanese. They laugh at the idea of switching gender roles
Or women demanding that they be treated equally for admittance to programs
So did many US women in the 1970s
There's women in every military but the JSDF barely qualifies as one
well nearly every military
I'm old enough to remember the days when women couldn't get a credit card without their husband cosigning
And women in the 1970s werent bat shit crazy with 60 cats
Noticing something lol?
now no one can get a credit card until someone with credit cosigns
Women today can be their own person rather than doped up on Valium
Gender roles evolved mutually with both men and women
It isn't a tyrannical thing
I dont understand the idea that gender roles are demonic vices of the patriarchy
It's great Japan is making room for outliers
but if you think they're going to abandon their traditions & adopt this nonsense of everyone being equal, you dont understand Japan
Because the entire idea is based in revolutionary theory and no one who is content joins a revolution
I don't pretend to understand Japan. I listen to Japanese. I also look at statistics.
Then perhaps you shouldn't be proposing they change their culture
It works amazingly
ish
Yeah ish
I'm not proposing anything. I'm watching it happen before my eyes.
