It's great Japan is making room for outliers
but if you think they're going to abandon their traditions & adopt this nonsense of everyone being equal, you dont understand Japan
Because the entire idea is based in revolutionary theory and no one who is content joins a revolution
I don't pretend to understand Japan. I listen to Japanese. I also look at statistics.
Then perhaps you shouldn't be proposing they change their culture
It works amazingly
ish
Yeah ish
I'm not proposing anything. I'm watching it happen before my eyes.
not entirely sure their worth ethic is exactly healthy
And enjoying watching my friends cheer.
Yeah, definitely
They're far from perfect, but in terms of culture, they beat the west hands down
nor living on top of one another so much that no-tell motels are priced out of the market for rent rooms by the hour motels for couples just trying to date because there is literally no where private
Everyone there is happier
The symptoms of a highly centralised city, like tokyo
The work ethic is pretty bad in corporate though
Like it gets up to 80 hours some weeks
They have a very low birthrate
and next to no crime
Well, neither of us have a say in it. I'll just watch history unfold.
Idk, I'd trade low crime for a high suicide rate any day
but to each their own
What
the greater tokyo area has a population of 36 million
Thats a quarter of japan's population
some of these issues are really Tokyo problems imo
Yeah it comes with Urban lifestyle
its probably easier to control your culture to get one that has no crime when you are an island
and living on top of one another
But I mean, if Japanese people hurt someone, its 99% of the time themselves
That's much better than hurting other people
much easier for everyone to hold each-other accountable
That not old either
Suicide is not ok
It's better than hurting someone else
Also they have a different culture
