the rest of northen africa originally spoke berber

a lot of them still use it today

and the local language is bascially a mix of both.

ethnicy wise , the arab diaspora has a few of them

Berber for a start, egyptians, jews (from yemen and morocco mainly) , levant arabs and the peninsula arabs

and tbh the only thing they had in common was the language

up till the rise of nationalism in the 19th century.

after some wars and conquests

spreading islam

muhammed died

and the rashid caliphate began

Abu Bakir ruled first as muhammed assigned him

2nd caliphate was Omar ibn Alkhattab

3rd one was Othman bin Affan

and the 4th and last one was Ali bin abi Taleb ( muhammed's cousin)
