well not unpleasant, but certainly not fun.
people want to argue political opinions but have no interest in learning the facts about what they argue about
A tool is no good without the will to use it
What's the best way to correct Tim's misunderstanding about how libel law works, there is a ton of case law that calling someone a racist / anti semite / nazi / etc is not just a matter of opinion but is actional defamation because of the reputational harm if its not supported by verifiable facts
Because political opinions don't require facts.
Write it on a potato and snail mail it?
Only values.
Its not a political opinion
There is a mile of case law
yeah which is why socialist starvation keeps happening
But values lead to learning to facts
ofc.
sneak into his home and stitch your opinion (in essay form) into his beanies
No, values do not.
that way he cannot ignore it
That falsely accusing someone of being a nazi, when real harm is involved, is actionable
Certain values may.
So having the opinion needs to come first
@💲Mckeone💲 but so many people have been called nazis (who aren't) that it is functionally meaningless
why trans whamen can grow a beard that better than mine, reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
drugs
i think many left are afraid of having opinion
i was
im not, sir
I mean a person with no opinion or values can be told anything
@💲Mckeone💲 ah, okay.
Here is NJ law
afraid of having an opinion, or prioritizing fitting in with a group?
a person who isn't particularly one way or the other is harder to convince IMHO
people confuse opinions with facts a lot, in both directions
not really, if you have an opinion in sweden u get called nazi
so
wait, my emotions aren't facts?
power of speech
i think many in sweden have felt like that
emotions can be facts.
Well it can be a fact you feel that way
i think many are waking up too
