You can basically parameterize an OpenGL visualizer/shader with audio input.
@Undead Mockingbird That's cool. I was once tasked with writing an ebcidic to ascii converter so I just ripped the code from the FTP utility of a linux distro. Good programmers copy from other programmers. Great programmers steal from them outright!

The U.S. Navy was basically created to deal with North African slavers who were taking American sailors as slaves. Read Six Frigates by Ian Toll. It's a great story if you are interested in that sort of thing.
