@Paradox yup, going to have to agree with @taekahn . You are being surveilled not spied upon.

2019-02-09 19:11:46 UTC

2019-02-09 19:11:57 UTC

2019-02-09 19:12:03 UTC

Well, now that i've sirred the pot, i'm going to disappear for an hour or two.

2019-02-09 19:12:18 UTC

2019-02-09 19:12:46 UTC

>it's not a secret

2019-02-09 19:12:53 UTC

@Paradox well that is windows 10 for sure. they send copies of private keys to their own stuff

2019-02-09 19:12:56 UTC

>so it's not spying

2019-02-09 19:12:58 UTC

And it doesn't need to be a secret

2019-02-09 19:12:58 UTC

obviously the only defintions that apply are the secret ones

2019-02-09 19:13:01 UTC

@Paradox Yes. Secretly is the key difference. There is nothing secret about it, the cameras hang on posts.

2019-02-09 19:13:04 UTC

See 2 and 3

2019-02-09 19:13:12 UTC

2 doesn't apply

2019-02-09 19:13:14 UTC

don't be obtuse

2019-02-09 19:13:37 UTC

its a completely different use of the word

2019-02-09 19:13:43 UTC

and same with 3

2019-02-09 19:13:53 UTC

@CasualSailor no one has the source code for intel ME so it is secret

2019-02-09 19:14:05 UTC

@Paradox your grammar nazi license has been revoked

2019-02-09 19:14:11 UTC

That's literally the function of cameras, so how does that not apply?

2019-02-09 19:14:28 UTC

because the cameras would have to be hidden?

2019-02-09 19:14:39 UTC

if you can see the cameras, you know you're being watched

2019-02-09 19:14:50 UTC

if you know you're being watched, it's not secret

2019-02-09 19:14:56 UTC

if it's not secret, it's not spying

2019-02-09 19:14:57 UTC

No, they wouldn't. YOu seem to not understanding different usages or meaning, 1 is fine, but it's not the only meaning.

2019-02-09 19:15:53 UTC

No one is saying its the only meaning, but that doesn't mean the word means the same in all contexts

2019-02-09 19:16:00 UTC

like the word obtuse

2019-02-09 19:16:07 UTC

because i called you obtuse, doesn't mean i think you're an angle

2019-02-09 19:16:09 UTC

@Graylan | gray00 Not sure how that is relevant to cameras on posts when you leave your house but I will say as a programmer, I have no problem with DRM. I like being paid for the things I develop and am no fan of people who steal games and other software.

2019-02-09 19:16:16 UTC

God I hate college based tests

2019-02-09 19:16:19 UTC

oh, but the definition of obtuse is an angle.

2019-02-09 19:16:27 UTC

Like I understand most of it but I never have enough time

2019-02-09 19:16:33 UTC

oh, and, I do agree windows 10 is full of spyware, but so are some linux....

2019-02-09 19:16:42 UTC

Huh

2019-02-09 19:16:47 UTC

Ahh shiyet

2019-02-09 19:17:36 UTC

I didn’t even get anything out of getting windows 10, it just meant that I wouldn’t have to have that annoying startup screen that was in windows 8

2019-02-09 19:18:09 UTC

i'm still using 7 and xp, lol.

2019-02-09 19:18:39 UTC

@Paradox Sorry. I didn't mean to start that argument. This is why you don't have semantic debates. They hinge upon you denying what the other person tells you they think a word means. If you equate spying with surveillance then there is no argument.

2019-02-09 19:18:41 UTC

I like that it’s the newer form of the tabs I guess, but I’d rather have security over some cosmetic item

2019-02-09 19:19:11 UTC

Exactly. And in some cases they do mean the same, in other cases, they do not.
