And I will repeat my original statement, I don't care about drug addicts who do not require public assistance but I do about the ones that do because that public assistance is in part taken from me by force.

2019-02-10 02:25:48 UTC

well that's not the statement and claim I was disagreeing with.

2019-02-10 02:27:00 UTC

I know it wasn't. You didn't like my use of the term "force" when applied to the collection of taxes. But on a fundamental level that is what gov'ts are. They are the entities which we grant the exclusive use of force in order to compel the actions of the citizens. One of those actions is to pay taxes.

2019-02-10 02:27:21 UTC

Sure, government do not exist without force.

2019-02-10 02:27:48 UTC

but you were also wrong ot say taxes are property taken by the government by force.

2019-02-10 02:28:05 UTC

Because only some are.

2019-02-10 02:28:21 UTC

all taxes are taken under threat of force

2019-02-10 02:28:51 UTC

@EndangeredProdigy Yeah, I didn't realize that was such a controversial concept.

2019-02-10 02:29:45 UTC

@Paradox Explain something if you will. You said that the gov't uses force or the threat of it to compel you to pay your payroll taxes but not sales taxes. What is the difference?

2019-02-10 02:30:26 UTC

Income tax.

2019-02-10 02:30:34 UTC

Yes.

2019-02-10 02:30:39 UTC

I didn't mention payroll tax, cuz idk what that is.

2019-02-10 02:30:59 UTC

Ok income taxes then.

2019-02-10 02:31:04 UTC

Sales tax isn't applied to you, it's to the product, as I mentioned.

2019-02-10 02:31:17 UTC

The use of force is aimed at stores that don't collect it, not you the consumer

2019-02-10 02:31:19 UTC

When yall clones are done debating

2019-02-10 02:31:22 UTC

I'm the one required to pay it though, right?

2019-02-10 02:31:37 UTC

U should discuss abortion and the laws behind it

2019-02-10 02:31:39 UTC

Yes, exactly, the force isn't on you, in the case of sales tax

2019-02-10 02:31:46 UTC

Cuz we need more debate on abortion.

2019-02-10 02:31:50 UTC

Stew Leonard's in CT.

2019-02-10 02:31:53 UTC

And more on KKK..

2019-02-10 02:32:00 UTC

Muh evils.

2019-02-10 02:32:21 UTC

@Paradox The force isn't on you in the case of income taxes when your employer deducts them from your payroll check either. It is on him.

2019-02-10 02:32:25 UTC

Right?

2019-02-10 02:32:32 UTC

In the case of the sales tax it's voluntary, you either buy the product or you don't.

2019-02-10 02:32:51 UTC

Paradox awarded best clone2019

2019-02-10 02:33:07 UTC

Sorry sailor

2019-02-10 02:33:07 UTC

@Paradox By that logic income taxes are also voluntary because if you don't want to pay the tax you can choose not to earn the income.

2019-02-10 02:33:22 UTC

I've never had an employer deduct them...

2019-02-10 02:33:35 UTC

Seems kinda fucked up.

2019-02-10 02:33:51 UTC

You can pick If they do or not clone 1

2019-02-10 02:34:07 UTC

2019-02-10 02:34:14 UTC

2019-02-10 02:34:51 UTC

Employers don't take out from your income in the us at least

2019-02-10 02:34:56 UTC

you tell them to withhold it

2019-02-10 02:35:22 UTC

The onus is on you to pay it, nobody gives a fuck how

2019-02-10 02:35:33 UTC

@Paradox It is a system designed to hide from the citizen the true amount of the tax. It is removed from their check before they ever see it. Ross Perot suggested he could destroy the entire system if the citizen was required to enter a bank, recieve their full salary then walk from window to window paying the various gov't agencies who deduct taxes from the check. Merely seeing how much the gov't takes each week would be enough to cause violent outrage. I think he was correct.

2019-02-10 02:36:37 UTC

What kind of paycheck are you getting that doesn't list deductions?
