Ok income taxes then.
Sales tax isn't applied to you, it's to the product, as I mentioned.
The use of force is aimed at stores that don't collect it, not you the consumer
When yall clones are done debating
I'm the one required to pay it though, right?
U should discuss abortion and the laws behind it
Yes, exactly, the force isn't on you, in the case of sales tax
Cuz we need more debate on abortion.
Stew Leonard's in CT.
And more on KKK..
Muh evils.
@Paradox The force isn't on you in the case of income taxes when your employer deducts them from your payroll check either. It is on him.
Right?
In the case of the sales tax it's voluntary, you either buy the product or you don't.
Paradox awarded best clone2019
Sorry sailor
@Paradox By that logic income taxes are also voluntary because if you don't want to pay the tax you can choose not to earn the income.
I've never had an employer deduct them...
Seems kinda fucked up.
Clone two coming with resolve ..
And.....
Speak..
Employers don't take out from your income in the us at least
you tell them to withhold it
The onus is on you to pay it, nobody gives a fuck how
@Paradox It is a system designed to hide from the citizen the true amount of the tax. It is removed from their check before they ever see it. Ross Perot suggested he could destroy the entire system if the citizen was required to enter a bank, recieve their full salary then walk from window to window paying the various gov't agencies who deduct taxes from the check. Merely seeing how much the gov't takes each week would be enough to cause violent outrage. I think he was correct.
What kind of paycheck are you getting that doesn't list deductions?
@mishona depends on situation
The principle lies on your labor belonging to you, else you are a slave (as I already mentioned, it's either theft or you are a slave). For the income tax. However, the sales tax is on the product. There is a distinction.
Sometimes they do garnish
But you are right it's mainly a choice
@mishona They are required by law to deduct a particular percentage. You may adjust that amount by claiming exemptions. But they will still withhold Social Security and Medicare taxes even if you claim sufficient exemptions to eliminate your State or Federal withholding amounts.
Yeah, and I see those deductions
on my paystub
It's not being obfuscated
@mishona they are clones debating each other.
@mishona yes. But many people don't look at them and think only in terms of their net pay since that is the portion the get to keep.
Let them clone war it out.
No real reasoning here.
