2019-02-10 09:01:51 UTC

and so

2019-02-10 09:01:55 UTC

if they slightly alter the image

2019-02-10 09:01:58 UTC

the hash changes

2019-02-10 09:01:59 UTC

correct?

2019-02-10 09:02:01 UTC

right

2019-02-10 09:02:04 UTC

ergo

2019-02-10 09:02:08 UTC

it is a key

2019-02-10 09:02:11 UTC

Basically, when a image is sent into your system, it goes through an algorithm which outputs the hash. Afterwhich, the hash is compared with hashes in the master-list and deleted if neccesary

2019-02-10 09:02:27 UTC

when you have an image that matches a hash, you change it, and its now hidden

2019-02-10 09:02:28 UTC

@Gilgamesh its a key that doesnt allow you to access anything how is it a key?

2019-02-10 09:02:32 UTC

ffs

2019-02-10 09:02:43 UTC

you cant use "c2dc41e4a90e20fddc8a81b74139aa9b" to generate the text it originated from

2019-02-10 09:02:58 UTC

If you can change the hash by slightly altering the image, and you're only blocking an image based on a certain hash, then changing the fucking image to change the known hash is hiding it from the hash master list

2019-02-10 09:03:02 UTC

it's very fucking simple

2019-02-10 09:03:05 UTC

and i just learned about it

2019-02-10 09:03:15 UTC

yes. it does.

2019-02-10 09:03:27 UTC

so fuck the master list

2019-02-10 09:03:44 UTC

You can't change the hash without majorly altering the image. and according to the TWF website, they apparently have ways to counter the altering of the images

2019-02-10 09:03:59 UTC

how so, caka

2019-02-10 09:04:27 UTC

don't have the algorithm so i would give the benefit of the doubt to TWF

2019-02-10 09:04:37 UTC

well what is "majorly altering the image"

2019-02-10 09:04:52 UTC

most images have a lot of extra space, and changing the crop would be easy

2019-02-10 09:05:00 UTC

same with resolution

2019-02-10 09:05:03 UTC

color scale

2019-02-10 09:05:12 UTC

making it a GIF

2019-02-10 09:05:31 UTC

'We help you keep up with the criminals. Unlike traditional hashing technology, an image can be resized, cropped or colours changed and our hashes will still find a match to the original image.'

2019-02-10 09:05:34 UTC

quote from the site

2019-02-10 09:05:44 UTC

with a standart hash even changing one pixel and in a way that wouldnt be notable even if you zoom in to the point of that pixel filling your whole screen would change the hash.

2019-02-10 09:05:52 UTC

so it isn't about their hashes anymore

2019-02-10 09:05:58 UTC

they literally have the images saved on their own servers

2019-02-10 09:06:04 UTC

that's the only way they'd be able to do that

2019-02-10 09:06:14 UTC

they are admitting to having a master database of all CP on the internet

2019-02-10 09:06:26 UTC

Reddit: Plz do not lewd 2D lolis, plzkthx...

2019-02-10 09:06:26 UTC

christ

2019-02-10 09:06:30 UTC

Hahaha

2019-02-10 09:06:41 UTC

you know that's true right guys

2019-02-10 09:06:44 UTC

Yeah they probably have CP on their servers XD

2019-02-10 09:06:55 UTC

to compare cropped images and different resolutions and colors, you'd have to compare images

2019-02-10 09:06:57 UTC

In fact their experts actively hunt CP out XD

2019-02-10 09:06:58 UTC

meaning they have them saved
