@mikeflarkin you are right, but this is not how Communism works tho, and wasnt intended like that, if someone doesnt meet requirement or try to stand up, you trow him/her into prison and his family there will be no one to complain

2019-02-10 19:29:52 UTC

I suggest everyone have alts

2019-02-10 19:30:10 UTC

you just have to make people stop complain and force them to work for jobs

2019-02-10 19:30:31 UTC

@The Wanderer Economic forcast reports for Norway are not good. Their economy is stagnate. They are suffering from lower oil prices since there're like other countries that rely heavily upon oil revenues they need oil prices to remain high. According to zerohedge that number for Norway is $70/barrel. Monday's price will be about $53 per barrel. You can't just pick a single factor like "cash reserves."

2019-02-10 19:31:51 UTC

These large sovereign wealth funds rely on interest gains on investments to pay for social welfare programs

2019-02-10 19:32:22 UTC

If Norway makes a few bad economic decisions, or if there's another global recession, that puts their country at risk

2019-02-10 19:32:27 UTC

They dont really export much

2019-02-10 19:32:35 UTC

Besides oil

2019-02-10 19:34:19 UTC

Bingo, That is what keeps Norway afloat... OIL

2019-02-10 19:34:34 UTC

@Gary Payton Tribute Account Exactly correct. Oil is their cash cow. And they based their social spending upon a $70/barrel price. The difference will have to be made up via additional taxes or they will have to cut spending. Maybe socialism only works when the country is above 85% white?

2019-02-10 19:34:50 UTC

OIL kept the Soviet Union on life support for as long as it did

2019-02-10 19:35:18 UTC

OIL kept the United States on life support for as long as it did

2019-02-10 19:35:38 UTC

Basically socialism works when people do their part to contribute to the economy, and contribute to society, in a positive way. without doing crime or taking advantage of social services

2019-02-10 19:36:03 UTC

So yea in small euro countries socialism can work, altho even then its hard sometimes

2019-02-10 19:36:19 UTC

@Khanclansith That is another thing people don't give Trump credit for. By allowing expansion of domestic oil he gives the US the ability to flood the market and drive the price down. Russia cannot survive if this happens which is what makes it such excellent leverage.

2019-02-10 19:37:04 UTC

correct Casual Sailor

2019-02-10 19:37:15 UTC

@The Wanderer Do you feel the US is doing poorly? Compared to whom?

2019-02-10 19:37:24 UTC

@Gary Payton Tribute Account yes but, its forcefull, so kid is born->go school->learn how to obey masters->teach how communism is great and leaders are great->after school kid MUST go to work->merry->have kid (repeat)
No Trade! No Over-sea/visit non communist country! No inovesion money! No more money than you need to survive on food! No Bonus income!also no Business start!

2019-02-10 19:38:55 UTC

@CasualSailor my point is that its a unfaslifiable statement

2019-02-10 19:38:58 UTC

@Khanclansith I thought our chief export was American jobs. Seems like we create an industry, we prefect it, then we take all the jobs it creates and export the middle class ones to China, India, Taiwan and Vietnam.

2019-02-10 19:39:01 UTC

Why do you think im becoming a teacher?

2019-02-10 19:39:29 UTC

@Blackhawk342 Masochism? 😁

2019-02-10 19:39:31 UTC

Well in euro countries it's not that extreme, people can have a high income but the taxes are very high as well @DarKinGate

2019-02-10 19:39:36 UTC

No it doesn't work like that

2019-02-10 19:40:19 UTC

I prefer capitalism with some minor elements of socialism @DarKinGate

2019-02-10 19:41:51 UTC

@Gary Payton Tribute Account I don't think you want any "socialism." What you want is high amounts of social spending, like taxpayer funded medical care, taxpayer funded and guaranteed housing, taxpayer funded and guaranteed food, and etc. Right?

2019-02-10 19:42:13 UTC

Correct

2019-02-10 19:42:28 UTC

its ok, in communist country there is no taxes, because all you get is set income for a job you do, yet its low. also you cant use any of oversea product, if you have even a toilet paper witch is not approved and numerated by communist rejime you will go to prison

2019-02-10 19:43:10 UTC

Maybe not even higher amounts of social spending necessarily, but the point is there needs to be some social spending and some kind of basic government services

2019-02-10 19:43:25 UTC

A lot of our current social programs need reform

2019-02-10 19:43:33 UTC

PS: i'm for mixed economy btw

2019-02-10 19:44:22 UTC

@Gary Payton Tribute Account You don't want the gov't to OWN the means of production. You just want the gov't to control the RESULTS of production. You want the gov't to be able to give away what others have made. It's a noble idea in theory but a viscous one in practice.

2019-02-10 19:45:30 UTC

I think the government should be able to regulate industry to a certain extent, do you agree some regulation is good for consumer safety and standard practices?

2019-02-10 19:45:37 UTC

I hope the communists win the ww3
