I had a warehouse job too. For a general home building supply outlet

my job was basicaly to go through a shitload of boxes, check if the code matches the code on the list, then check how many components were in each bag, then note down wether it was one or more

I worked 77 hour weeks for $10CAD an hour

I'm not fit for physical work

and I was standing hunched over

for 8 hours

my back fucking hurt like shit

I felt like goddamn quasimodo

I checked 594 boxes the first day

I do not at all miss handling drywall

I finished the list, went to hand it in

it was on a clipboard

84 pages of it

finished that

finished an entire wall of boxes

actually felt kinda proud of that one

handed in the papers

''oh here's the next 35 pages''

so I go back

I mean it sucks but ok we carry on

45 more minutes till end

even though I hurried on the last boxes

I sit down for just a second

manager yells at me for taking a 1 minute break

never felt like what I didn't matter to such an extent

Yeah I would've quit too m8

went to the jobs office to say I quit the job

they told me they gave a notice I worked too slow and were looking for someone else

id a found a job before qutting

I did more than 2 boxes a minute
