i could understand if they hit a small vessel, like the tug that was there. but hitting a tanker is like hitting a mountain and not even seeiing it before the fact.
@Leeroy That is true, but a state of the art frigate warship should have the equipment to navigate properly. I think it's fair to assume human fault.
depends on a lot of stuff, like I said
the ship was only 10 years old or so aswell.
leeeerrrooooyyy jenkins
aka pretty new.
source?
and yes but a lot of warships have to shut down large swathes of their radar suite in order to transit local sealanes
either way yes it could be a major fuck up on the ships company of that frigate
or it could be a shitbag civillian crew with a drunk ass captain doing his thing
we'll find out I guess
Suppose so
hmm true, will be interesting.
more inclined to think it's not the frigates crew
but that boat's had some serious technical issues in the past
the source for the age of the ship. gimme a few mins.
we had her in port for a couple months a year or so ago
worth pointing out no more severe than our type 45's issues
The ship wasn't even insured. https://www.vg.no/nyheter/innenriks/i/OndLnO/saa-mye-koster-fregatten-helge-ingstad?utm_content=row-1&utm_source=vgfront (right click and translate with google)
nothing that'd directly contribute to this beaching dealio
she's a nice ship onboard 🤷
"out of service, today. lol
well, was
dare say she's going to need some work lol
God she is ugly
well, even getting it to a warft that is able to work on a warship is a problem.
how ugly 😦
she's got a sharp bow
it was well built when we went onboard
Is that her radar equipment
in her main mast, yes
it's called intimidation. the enemy sees the ship and goes "nope"
it's a pretty cool design, that radar
oof, i feel sorry for the ship. looks like a stranded whale.
I fucking hate niggers
thanks for your input
