Indie games deveolpers wants to make a game they love. They dont want money

I feel like indie games are an infinite regurgative cycle. every couple of years one good game is released and then there are a billion copies of it

twitch viewership is a good indication of whether people give a shit or not. you would expect a beta close to release day to get big numbers. the latest WoW expansion got 300k viewers on launch day.
